Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room needs to be refurbished, as mentioned in previous comments, photos look better that the rooms actually look like.
Breakfast was really good, every could choose. Location is ok, walking distance to metro & vatucan city (15min) or you can take a bus, which you can find just next to the hotel.

This is not a 4 star hotel. I would say 3 star is enough. Restaurant was mentioned but it was not open. One evening i ask abaut it and they say, yes it will be open. Well they opened it only for us and we ordered lasagne. When we get the food it was heated and frozen in the middle. We did not eat it.. I hope they learn abaut this and will respect their customers better in future. Restaurant and food i will give 0 star. Maybe its open in the summer season but i would not take a risk anymore. Lucky in the neigborhood was very good restaurant Candido.
It was easy to reach everything from the Hotel. Staff was friendly

There is some noises when doors opened by the next rooms. The breakfast is basic and the breakfast room is tiny and not quite organized.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned everyday and we got new towels. The location is excellent, 300m to the bus station.

Clodo is definitely not as advertised. Pictures are not realistic. It is an older hotel with very simple to non decor. For us it was not a big problem,the only thing I did mind is that the photographs are retouched so it gives a fals idea of what you could expect from it. With that and considering location (far from most of the sites in Rome), for the price we payed I could have found much better hotels or Airbnbs in Rome.

The building and rooms overall are a bit old fashioned, in our opinion it definetelly needs some renovations, especially the bathrooms. The flushes from adjacent rooms were making very loud noises and woke us up every time any neighbour used them. Our biggest complainment was that the staff during the room cleaning throw out our printed documents with private data (insuration, boarding cards etc), that were just lying on the desk.
The reception was available the whole day, the room was clean, everyday the beds were made, we got new bottles of water in the fridge. The best was definetelly the breakfast - everyday fresh fruits, juices, scrubled eggs, bacon, yoghurt, nutella etc.

Noisy suits, you will hear your neighbors and the street. Ordinary food, sometimes seemed to be unfresh. The hotel definitely is not 4 stars. The building needs a freshup. Photos don't do justice to the real conditions.
Location near bus stops. Easy to get to the Vatican. Polite staff. Delicious pastry.

Overall the decor of the hotel was shabby. If this was addressed it would make for an excellent hotel.

The hotel is situated far from the Metro station. The rooms are not very mordern. Lack of few basic amenities etc.

The beds were very hard. In general, I expected more from a 4 star hotel in general. The interior is quite old and you have a normal key to the door.
The breakfast was good with a lot of cold cuts and the reception was nice.

Bathroom doors are hard to close. The bath is very small and does not have full shield to avoid splashing the water on the floor.

Bathroom was a bit poky. Bed was not very comfortable. The after hours food leaves a little to be desired but was an easy snack.
Breakfast was good. Nice reception. Not too far from main sights on bus. Great aircon. Nice bar with good cocktails.

As with a few of hotels we’ve stayed in lately, it had started to get a bit run down. Unsure if this is the hotel industry struggling to come back after Covid? Our room could’ve done with a new toilet seat (had a crack) and some general maintenance. We didn’t think the A/C remote did anything - the temperature was possibly centrally controlled? The room was a little warm at night and there were mosquitos so we didn’t want the windows open! We’d have appreciated being told on arrival that the TV wouldn’t work and there was no longer a restaurant on site - apart from for breakfast.
The breakfast was lovely: a wide range of hot and cold food and a good coffee machine! Attentive staff restocking everything and clearing the tables. Nice to sit outside when the weather was fine. Great location for catching a bus into the centre of Rome (5 mins away - €1.50) and a nice pizza place around the corner! Lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel staff were all friendly and we liked the high ceiling in our bedroom as well as being given a bath - as requested!

not as clean as it could be. staff were not necessarily forthcoming to help or suggest where to go or how to get there. no safe in room, no mini bar (as advertised in the booking). a little too far from the main sights and the centre.
