Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The description was false: no kettle inside, no mini bar in my room. However, I asked for hot water and they gave me it without problem.
Very close to the Termini, just 1 min walk. Staff was friendly. Breakfast ok

The bathroom needed serious attention . The smell of sewer was overpowering and could be smell even with the close door.

Hotel a bit dated, small room but good bathroom. Passable breakfast.
Top location if travelling train. Less if by car, where public parking is to be avoided (too close to the main train station) and private parking are very expensive, as always in Rome. Friendly receptionist.

Some staff members were not very friendly when asked about finding the shuttle bus to the airport.
The location was very central to all trains, buses and restaurants. There was shuttle bus to the airport near the hotel.

The decor is very dated, could do with a spruce up. Bar was closed the whole time we were there. Road works outside the front door and around the hotel make the area look very run down which I know isn't the fault of the hotel and we never felt unsafe while we were there but wouldn't be suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. We had booked 4 rooms which were basically the same, layout was slightly different but the bathrooms were great in some but poor in others. Our shower was only suitable for very thin small people you could just about turn round in it and we are only 5ft tall !.
The hotel is about 6mins walk to the central train station so getting to the see the sights was very easy, a metro trip five stops will bring you to the Vatican which is the furthest away and only costs €1.50, rooms were small but very clean, the staff were very pleasant, 24 hour reception.

After check in I found out that TV set channels were not adjusted, a cable issue I assume. They fixed it the next day after my request.
Overall hotel prices is high in Rome. The hotel was decent. It is right next to Termini station.

The room is much smaller than in the picture. It's kind of misleading. The breakfast was not as good as in a similarly priced hotel we stayed at on the other side of the station last summer.

Jacuzzi bath tub motor had a life of its own. Switches on and off randomly, which was a problem during the nights. Reported and was told to close toilet door. Ended up turning off the main eletric board switches during the night.

The room was dark. There was no remote control for the air conditionong.
The breakfast was good, with fruit choices. Pastries not that tasty. The toilet was spotless and quite big for a single room in Rome.

Hotel Corot is literally across the road from Termini Station, which gives excellent access to transport links for the whole of Rome and beyond. The room we had was comfortable. It was decorated with a padded fabric which helped to soundproof the room, although it must be difficult to keep clean and makes the room look a little dated. The bathroom was excellent, a spacious room with a very good shower. The breakfast room is on the 5th Floor, or at least it was when we stayed there! Excellent breakfast selection available every day, croissants, pain au chocolat, ham & cheese, bread, cakes, fruit, yoghurt, cereals etc., tea, coffee, fruit drinks & water.
