Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHotel located below a mountain and you will need to walk about 50-60 meters downhill, so if you old, or can’t walk long stairs step it will be a struggle. Also going up it very steep and I won’t recommended to people with health or walking issues.

MaltaNothing. However I would suggest having teaspoons in the room for coffee and a better selection of hot beverages and fresh fruit platters by the pool bar. Also the use of the pool for children should be at specific times so as to allow other people to enjoy some quiet time.
The location is superb compared to the other hotels. Its quiet with no cars passing by and the views are spectacular. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and passion in what they do. It was a big surprise in finding a bottle of chilled spumante in the room on arrival. Much appreciated.

United StatesService was inconsistent at the pool bar. Pool area is small. Outdated property. Loses water pressure when a lot of people are showering. Very tight room for 3 adults- is probably fine for 2 adults but it’s on the small side
Great location. Great views. Very Clean. Concierge was great! Nice private balcony with amazing view

IsraelThe bad - 1. Maintenance issues: The hotel was built in the seventies, and while everything was well thought out back then, maintenance has not kept up. There are visible signs of wear and tear, and both the rooms and some public areas are in desperate need of renovation. 2. Room amenities: There are no kettles or coffee machines in the rooms. although you can request and get a kettle. Additionally, there are no irons available, not even on request, and only external laundry and ironing services are offered. The TV screens are small, which isn't a big issue since you’re unlikely to spend much time watching TV, but it's worth mentioning. 3. The area around the pool was littered with eucalyptus leaves from nearby trees, which detracted from the otherwise pleasant environment. 4. Outdated key system: The hotel still uses actual keys and keychains instead of keycards, which would be more convenient for guests. 5. The bar was inactive during our stay. 6. The addition of a spa would be a fantastic enhancement if included in future renovations. The unacceptable - We booked a room with a balcony and premium see view. Due to a mistake (these things happen) we were allocated to a room with lateral see view. We were eventually moved to a room with premium see view, but no refund was issued. I feel that a complimentary bottle of prosecco is insufficient as compensation for the inconvenience.
The good - 1. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic - You couldn’t ask for a better spot to explore Taormina It’s just a 2-minute walk from the entrance to the gardens of Villa Comunale, a 5-minute walk from Corso Umberto, and about a 10-minute walk from the ancient theater. 2. The views of the sea are simply stunning. 3. Wonderful Staff: The staff are warm, welcoming, and very attentive. Special mention goes to the breakfast buffet team, the swimming pool staff, and Mara and Giovanni at the front desk, who took excellent care of us. 4. The breakfast selection is very good and the swimming pool is wonderful. 5. Despite the room being old, the beds themselves are comfortable.

United KingdomNo iron in the room but do have a chargeable ironing service, not enough sunbeds by the pool & they filled up quite quickly especially as we went more into the summer. Very steep slope with option of steps outside the hotel to get into the streets of Taormina itself.
Amazing views, spotlessly clean, perfect location, good amenities, excellent air conditioning, staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, complimentary water & fruit in reception, very modern, option of having meals at the hotel. Great pool attendants who were firm with rules. Overall a touch of luxury!

Exceptional view of the underlying bays with a side view of Mount Etna as a bonus. Rooms are private and exceptionally cool especially in the summer months. Staff and breakfast was great, lunch at the pool restaurant was also very good. ALSO VERY CENTRALLY LOCATED

United StatesTo walk into town you need to walk up a very steep narrow street incline maybe 50 steps and paved to reach the restaurants and shops of Taormina which is itself a lot of steps. We knew this when booking so it was expected. The main elevator broke the day before we checked out.
Mid sized room with fantastic views, a terrace and good sized pool a short (uphill) walk into Taormina. Eurostars has 8 floors with the reception on the top floor and a glass open elevator takes you down to the room floors and bottom floor is pool. I read the reviews before booking this location and I would say it exceeded my expectations. While yes some things were a little dated in terms of hotel design, I found the ample variety at breakfast, attentive and friendly staff, daily cleaning of room and pool (larger than Belmond Timeo) was much appreciated during the heatwave we experienced.

United KingdomThe hotel, while I appreciate the history, could have some more personal touches in the rooms. And a gym would be a valuable asset.
The view is exceptional, pool area with stunning views of the hotel which is a truly stunning brutalist building set among a sumptuous landscape. The staff were super helpful and Pancrazio behind the bar was the kindest and loveliest part of our evenings.
