Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bathroom. One of the most uncomfortable bathrooms I've ever seen. Small shower space without a handheld shower phone makes the bathing difficult and uncomfortable. At least the water was warm all day long. Also, the bed could have been a little bigger
A family small hotel located in an excellent position, just a few meters away the termini station. Very friendly and supportive personnel, providing all the necessary. The hotel reception is not present/available all the time but there is an emergency call. Clean, bright and safe rooms with all the basic amenities. My single room was small but yet cosy. WI-FI was generally fine altought unstable at times. Recommended for a short stay in Rome's central station

Average cleaning. Noisy room. We good double bad instead 2 single.
Fantastic place near to the Termini station. Top restaurant Andrea opposite and breakfast bar in the same building. Delicious food! Good prices!

The double bed was not actually a double bed, but two single beds coupled together. Not really comfortable. The heather was not working

Ventilation slightly poor in the bathroom, smelt damp occasionally
Clean, simple, efficient, good location, easy to walk to tourist attractions if you don’t mind walking half an hour, many restaurants in the area which get lively in the evening

The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean. I did appreciate my stay, I actually extended my stay there for a few more days. Also the hotel is one block away From Roma termini station.

The reception is not staffed all the time and was quite pushy about a specific check in time.
Location close to Roma Termini, which is what we needed. Also close to lots of good restaurants which is desirable.

The lift was very old and creepy. It could not hold barely one person and his luggage and the hotel is situated on the second floor.
This budget hotel offered us a small room with two single beds together with a small bathroom. Towels and toiletries as well as maid service was provided daily. The location is good as it is a couple of meters away from Termini Station as well as other food and service outlets.

There are a few things that can be improved 1. The reception is not always open, so we really need to tell the exact time when we could check in. 2. The room has a weird smell, maybe some roomfreshner could help. 3. The toilet was broken, it was not able to flush properly even if you pressed the button multiple times, and there was no one on the reception to whom u could complain.
The location is good with respect to the price, the room was clean, the staff was friendly.

I'm slim, yet the the bathroom is still too small for me.
Just about 5-10 minute walk from Roma Termini station. Lots of restaurants, supermarkets, and stores around.

Only thing that we didn't like is the bed, it was not comfortable due to its mattress.
We rent a room with a shared bathroom. The location is great, the room and bathroom were clean, the staff friendly and helpful.

The toilet constantly has a noticeable sewage odor. The shower head needs to be replaced as it does not let water through, making it difficult to shower.
The hotel is located near Termini, making it easy to reach all the places in Rome. The furniture is not new, but the room is neat and spacious enough. Rooms are cleaned daily.

Very noisy outside even at night. Some dodgy people at night in the streets cause close to the train station.
Very close to the train station. Less than 20 min walk to the historical buildings. Restaurants and café close by. Reception staff very kind and gave us many recommendations.

Quite noisy from the street. I slept through it all but my partner was kept awake.
Location was perfect. Close to Termini. Front desk was very helpful with our questions. Restaurants and cafe on the same street were excellent.

The shower needs a dish to hold your soap ! And more toiletries should be provided . At least a mini shampoo and conditioner also .
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the location was perfect. I liked the large comfortable bed, everything was clean and the refrigerator was an added bonus. Expensive but I guess you pay for the location .
