Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesReally, nothing. Everything met or exceeded expectations. If anything it was they only had soft boiled eggs, and I like hard-boiled. Can't find any flaws on this stay, would definitely stay here again.
Location was great. Close to all the things you want to see and short walk to main lagoon. Breakfast was a good value for the area. Nice continental breakfast. Had a bar / sitting area just off the lobby and prices were much better than expected for a Hotel. The staff was great, helpful, and knowledgeable about the off the beaten path places to eat, etc.

CanadaWish there was more toilet paper in the room, if you didn’t have your room cleaned then you didn’t have an extra roll in case you ran out in the middle of the night
I loved the staff at the property. The location was amazing, you’re in the midst of venice but close to zaccaria ferry terminal so you can travel

UkraineOur stay at Hotel Fortuna was absolutely magical. The location is unbeatable, tucked away on a quiet street just a few steps from St. Mark's Square, making it the perfect base for exploring Venice. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights. Our room was charming, impeccably clean. We'll definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel on our next trip to Venice.

TurkeyThe downsides were that there was no refrigerator in the room, and the hotel and its furnishings were old. The bathroom was not practical.
The hotel's location is excellent. Everything is within walking distance. You have to pay extra for breakfast, but the buffet breakfast is very adequate and worth the price. The hotel staff is very attentive and helpful. All in all, it was a great value for money hotel. It met our needs.

United KingdomWe enjoyed all our stay. The only thing which may have helped would be a fridge to keep drinks cool in the room and maybe a water fountain in the hotel as the only taps are in the bathroom. However these are very minor things and I am sure we could have asked the staff to use facilities on site somewhere however we decided not to. Also there is a public water fountain in the square 2 minutes walk walk away
The hotel room was a lively size and the decor was perfect for the environment of Venice. The location is perfect as it is 5 minutes walk from the St Mark Square. All the staff were amazing and very helpful whenever we needed help. Fully aircon which really helped in the hot Venice sun and simply a beautiful hotel especially for the price. Simply amazing.

AustraliaI think that the front door of the hotel could have Key code access rather than a doorbell. We had to wait for a while in couple of instances when reception was not occupied.
This was a good hotel in the perfect location. There were restaurants at our doorstep access to all attractions and a great vibe in general.

AustraliaWe opened the windows to let in some fresh air and a lot of mosquitos came in. Luckily we had insect repellent. No kettle provided in room.
Excellent location close to the Vaporetto and St Mark’s square. Clean, good value and it was handy having an elevator to move our luggage. Spacious room with plenty of space for our bags. Friendly hotel staff. Provided us with a free map and advice on Vaporetto lines.
