Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI use public transportation so the location is a little difficult and mostly due to Rome's Transit Authority. Initially the system is difficult but once you catch on...it is fine. The proximity to the Vatican City makes it excellent and worth it! The solo room contained too much furniture. Consider a few folding items. Putting too much furniture makes for a very crammed room.
The breakfast was exceptional. The view was great.

United KingdomNothing really. Location is okish but easily walkable to all the sites. 20 minute walk to the Vatican.
Rooms are clean and tidy and size wise ok. Reception is good. Staff are great - helpful, courteous, professional. Breakfast up stairs on 5th floor is great - buffet for a continental breakfast is superb. Bar upstairs is also very good.

AustriaThe soundproof is a problem. It was at least in my room. Doors are slamming too loud, and the walls are very thin. I was actually looking for a hotel with good soundproofing using the filters, that's why I am pointing it out.
Location is actually fine, it's not the very center of the city, but bus and train stations are rather close (but I wouldn't recommend it for the travelers older than 65). For example, Piazza Navona is 20-25 mins away from the hotel if you go by bus. I used the location in my favor. I easily went to Caracala baths via the train connection, and the regional airport trains can be found at the Trastevere station, which is only one stop away from the hotel. So you can spend only 8 eur for the airport transfer if you don't have too much heavy luggage (the hotel is on the small hill). Of course, it's a perfect hotel for visiting the Vatican city early in the morning. St. Peter's square is 15 mins away walking, Vatican museums 25 mins walking. Staff was super friendly and polite, both at the reception desk and in the cafe. I had one of the best views from my window in my life to the St. Peter's cathedral's dome. The breakfast spot is also amazing.

United States of AmericaWe would have enjoyed having more hooks or shelves in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels in use. Also more TV channels in English, especially for more than 4 nights stays. Everything else was excellent!!
Roof top amenities are very nice, starting with breakfast or cozy bar area overlooking the Basilica dome. Hotel Very well located, just 10 min from the Vatican which was very convenient after long standing hours visiting that area. Also very well connected to others major attractions in the Roman forum area through bus line U916 which is 5 min away from the hotel. It’s is a 5 stars staff hotel, which makes a huge difference when you want to optimize your time in Rome.

United KingdomMattress is worn out, so not very comfortable. Limited choices for breakfast. Not worth the price.
Location was good. Mini supermarkets around which is always convenient. Friendly restaurants around too. Quite easy if you want to take the bus into the city and uber friendly too. Cleanliness was great, spacious rooms, quiet neighbourhood, friendly staff.

United KingdomInitially my room. The one allocated did not meet expectations in terms of it's location in hotel. I upgraded to a bigger room which was much better. However it must have been below the dining areas so a lot of noise from movement above. However I would choose to stay at the hotel again.
The location, the breakfast, the staff, the breakfast area and dining areas. Both were bright with excellent views of St Peter's Basilica.

United KingdomThis, of course, is not the hotel's fault, but it should be recognised that the street leading up to the hotel is a mess, with ongoing repairs and poor surfaces. It can also be dangerous due to cars being parked on the sidewalks leaving no space to walk through, which forces one to be at the mercy of the infamous Italian driver!
Great location; St Peter's Square, Stazione San Pietro train station, restaurants and Carefour supermarket all within easy walking distance. Comfortable bed and a spacious, well decorated room. Helpful receptionists and professional staff. Perfect view of Vatican from upstairs terrace.

United KingdomOnly negative was that the restaurant was closed both nights we stayed, we would have loved to try it!
The location was perfect, slightly out of the way from the bustle but close enough to walk or get public transport to the Colosseum and other landmarks. The breakfast had delicious fresh choices and the views were amazing! The rooms were very clean and spacious, the value for money was great in my opinion. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made the stay extra special, thank you so much!
