To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaThe rooms on the street side and I think in the newer section need sound proofing. Every night we were woken by rowdy groups of people walking down the street and the rubbish trucks at 5am emptying bins.
The location of the Helvetia & Bristol was stellar, easy to walk to everything. It is a short walk to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. There were plenty of restaurants close by and within walking distance. The rooms were lovely and very clean.

Despite it being a hotel for over 1000 years, Helvetia & Bristol still offers the comfort of the modern world. The hotel was gorgeous, elegant, and centrally located; the staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a joining suite with a sitting area. Both bedrooms looked out to the piazza and the hustle and bustle of the shopping street below. We loved everything about our stay at the hotel!

United KingdomWe were first in a street-facing room but the street noise was incredibly loud and we had to ask for the room to be changed. I would expect better soundproofing from a 5 star property. The room we were moved into was very quiet but in the more traditional wing of the building, so not our first choice. The spa was fantastic but felt a tad too crowded to be relaxing.
Amazing property with excellent staff in the most ideal location - walking distance to everything. Beds were super comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. The spa was also a great experience!

United KingdomThe hotel was absolutely lovely. The location was fantastic, the staff were very helpful and always attentive, and the room was absolutely wonderful. In the hotel is a beautiful spa which is well worth visiting also. Although we don’t try the food, I’m sure as with everything else in the hotel, it would have been amazing. Would definitely recommend staying here for a luxurious and beautiful time.
