Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GeorgiaCouldn't locate the hotel, I would suggest to directly message the owner in whatsapp or call them, search by street number and on the doorbell it says dormienti. Room was small but for two nights its not bad.
Location was the best part of the property, price is reasonable, room was clean, staff was also good.

AlbaniaThe fact that we could hear everything through the walls, even the tiniest noise. In general was clean but could have been better because it was Christmastime and we expected a little bit more.
The location was really good though. 10 minutes by walking from Coloseum, 1 station away from Roma termini, and accessible with the metro and bus. The staff was also so nice and friendly. The accommodation was acceptable .

The friendliness and politeness of the guy at reception and cleaning, the location. I arrived late and was late and it was easy to contact the hotel employee (always polite). I definitely recommend I Dormienti.

IrelandThe room's window faces a wall of another building. It was difficult to sleep until the street was less busy due to the levels of noise. Getting to your room is a little challenging.
The location was excellent for tourists who are going on a city break. Most of the tourist attractions are close to the room. The room is spacious and has a large bed. Decent value for the price.

PolandReally nothing at all that would arise any concerns. Maybe the walls or the doors are thin there and you can hear noises e.g. when someone is entering the apartments (key unlocks) and some noises from the street, but I guess that it is the fault of the old building. Just bring earplugs for better sleep :)
Location - walking distance to every corner of Rome that I wanted to see and visit. Very friendly and safe neighborhood. The host was very responsive and stayed in touch with us during the check-in and we had no problems throughout the trip.

Australiathe lock in the front key didn't work unless you were provided some training to open it which didn't always work, so you didn't know if you would be able to open the door at night or if you would be able to reach your bed. That I found incomprehensible. Because changing the lock would have solved problems. It is not acceptable to have a faulty lock and then learn the tricks to open the door.
The location was great just in the centre of Rome, walking distance from key sites. It was hard to open the front door, which was a major impediment. The room was clean and so was the bathroom.

United States of AmericaWe told the manager get a can of paint and paint the front door yourself if building manager won't. Also didn't get padlock and chain on door at the top of the stairs. Some rooms have no bathroom, they must use bathroom in the hallway
Very good location. You can be put off bytue unpainted front doors and very old hallway when entering building. Hotel is on 1st floor. Rooms were clean as was the bathroom. Another of cafes on street and 20 minute walk to coliseum. Also trevi fountain 20 minute walk from hotel. Michelangelo statue of David 10 minute walk.

CanadaA bit dirty of an area. Pick pockets in area. Hostel across street makes for noise. Air conditioning did not work well.
Good location walkable to Colosseum. Kind of run down area but that is Rome. Good restaurants in the area and comparably cheap. Close to subway and walkable to Termini station.

AustraliaThere was (LOUD) construction on the floor above which woke us up at 6:45am. We could hear other guests as they entered and left their rooms which was annoying. The room didn’t necessarily match the photos. Lastly, there was hair in the shower from the previous guests and makeup left on top of the cupboard.
The staff were attentive and lovely! Changing of towels and bed sheets was offered every day. Perfect location as close to public transport and restaurants.

AustraliaIt was actually pretty hard to find the premises in this street. Look for.the numbers carved on the buildings and a green door. Looks like the frontage of a private residence. There is a door bell with tiny writing of the name of the hotel I Dormienti. Good idea to have a working mobile phone to both navigate and call reception if you can’t find.
I Dormienti. Translated in English means ‘The Sleepers’. Despite it being in a lane reasonably busy with mostly foot traffic and diners the room was pretty quiet and I slept well. It was simple but clean and comfortable in a brilliant location about 10minute walk from Termini and about the same to the Coliseum. It’s set on a funky cobblestone street with plenty of places to eat and drink.
