Kinda missed a little sunshade on the terrasse to enjoy a bit of shadow :) Otherwise nothing.

From the location close to the sea and the main central village, to the hosts very kind and willing to share tips, it was a really nice Holliday. The amazing rooftops with a direct view on the Stromboli, and the two terraces were a really good surprise.

The service was average with staff rather passive, we had to actively search for people to get information on facilities or services etc.

Very beautiful and nicely decorated facilities. Breakfast served at the rooms terrace.

No issues. We had to stay longer than planned and they made 2 simple but tasty lunches.

Beautiful apartment units. Well decorated. Comfortable. Charming owner. Lovely garden/ pool area. Close to the sea. Rooftop Terraces with great views. Excellent breakfast.

The facility was amazing. So beautiful surroundings, a really nice and beautiful room, so nice and helpful staff and delicious breakfast. I loved staying here and I want to do it again. Definitely on my top three favorite places to stay. I highly recommend this lovely place to others.

Everything was perfect. The mattresses could be a little bit more comfortable. I also had an issue with hit water. I didn't call because it was in the middle of the night, but I'm sure they would have helped me right away!

Excellent boutique hotel in Stromboli. I loved everything about it. Our apartment was facing the sea and it was just beautiful, not to mention the amount of space we had for ourselves, the terrace, and the common space for the pool. We loved every single moment spent at Il Gabbiano and I will definitely come back soon. Very highly recommended!

It was a little too expensive for a single occupancy. Everything was perfect anyway.

Adorable staff, I was traveling solo and they invited me to have breakfast with them and have nice talks, lots of good recommendations of Sicilia. The room they picked for me as beautiful, spacious, with a beautiful view to the volcano. The swimming pool regarding the volcano was fantastic. I hope I can go there again next year! Thank you staff! :)

Nothing. Perfect from the very first minute when we arrived to the last one when we left 👍!!

Fantastic and peaceful place! Most welcoming and helpful staff. Astouning view from the hotel. The swimming-pool area is very beautiful and relaxing. Excellent breakfast. The kitchen is well furnished with all accessories you might need to cook your meals. Little supermarkets at 10 minutes'walk. THANKS again SO MUCH to our hosts who informed us that our ferry was cancelled (the ferry company Siremar was supposed to text us but as we booked through a website -and not directly through Siremar- they did not!! Thanks to the precious help of our hosts, we managed to change all our plans in time🙏🙏🙏

We loved the location close to the beach. The kids enjoyed the pool and I adored the Sun lounges as it was very hot. It felt like an oasis, you could hang out infront of your room on the couches in privacy as you had the sheer curtains. The room was very clean and modern, the towels the softest towel I have experienced in Italy. Breakfast is delicious with a huge variety to eat. The staff were so nice and always ready for a chat. Next time we come will book a 2 room to give kids a bit of there own space.

The pool area was a little cramped and sometimes beds weren't available. The beds in the rooms were very hard.

I can't really think of anything - it was great.

Well designed apartment which suited us well. We didn't spend much time in it as we were out and about but the pool looked inviting. Breakfast was good and a very helpful host.

The bed was too hard for us.

It was a really nice accommodation. Super clean and beautiful. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the nice view. We could see the sea and the volcano from the terrace. There basic needs like water, milk and coffee were already there, they keep everything clean and give new towels every day. When you arrive or check-out take a taxi (golf car, much fun) for a small fee so you don’t have to walk with your luggage. But everything is on walking distance, even with kids.

The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Being early season, not many food options available on the island, Marcella insisted on providing breakfast material the night before as we were leaving early in the morning, it was it lifesaver, and enough to serve as dinner and breakfast

it was all fantastic. Because the island was so quiet in Feb, the restaurants were all closed, but I think that usually a few stay open over the winter. The other basic shops were open.

absolutely fantastic place. The kitchen works really well and a lovely place to stay. Fabulous views of sea and volcano, great breakfast and lovely staff. we went in February and were upgraded to an apartment with a kitchen as the island's restaurants were closed. The supermarket had everything we needed, and the room came with coffee, tea, water, milk and jam. Perfect.

The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. They even brought us gluten free bread and pasta when I told them I had a gluten allergy. The rooms were very big and had terraces looking right to the sea. Will definitely be coming back to this place

Nothing, really.

Modern guest house with a few units. Great architecture, amazing view from the upper bedroom and the generous roof terrace. Good breakfast, very nice service. Unlike most properties we stayed at, here bins were emptied etc daily. Although we stayed in December, the pool was open and clean, though not heated, our son took a few rather refreshing baths in it.

as we visited during the "off-season" we got a tremendous deal. Family unit with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, etc. Great! Marcella contacted us beforehand with all the details. Questions were answered immediately. The welcome was warm and efficient. Since not many eating places open during that time of the year we followed her suggestion and were not disappointed. Visiting Stromboli for experiencing the volcanic island is one thing but I could easily imagine Il Gabbiano for just a relaxing retreat with the family (or on my own for that matter). The breakfast was good and ample - excellent start into the day.
