Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilSuggestions: For breakfast, a greater variety of fresh fruits, natural juices, scrambled eggs, cakes, and bread options. Also, the apartment key, which comes with a very heavy keyring and only one key per apartment. It would be more practical to have smaller keychains and copies of the keys available. We stayed in a double room on the 5th floor, which does not have direct access by elevator. To reach it, it is necessary to use the elevator up to the 4th floor and then climb a flight of stairs. This configuration was not good for my mother. The room had windows that faced the terrace. Although the glass windows were locked, the external windows/doors had problems with the locking mechanism, which allowed the wind to open them. This situation caused some discomfort and insecurity, especially at night, when the noise caused by the wind made us apprehensive. During our stay, we faced slightly elevated temperatures, and we discovered that the hotel does not offer air conditioning, only a heater. Opening the windows to try to alleviate the heat resulted in mosquitoes entering the room, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
I stayed at Hotel Impero between February and March 2024 and went through several different rooms, so I'll share my overall experience with the hotel and the stay in particular. The hotel is very well located, especially for those using the train, being close to Termini and tourist attractions. The common areas are good, with a lounge right after breakfast and on the first floor, with armchairs and tables, in addition to the terrace with a view of the dome of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Highlight for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, which made our stay more enjoyable.

Also, the apartment key, which comes with a very heavy keyring and only one key per apartment. It would be more practical to have smaller keychains and copies of the keys available. The triple room, some improvements are needed. The space for three people is not ample, and the third bed consists of a sofa bed, while the double bed is formed by the joining of two beds. There could be more support or benches to put the luggage on. In the bathroom, the drain easily got clogged, in addition to problems with the extractor fan, which made it difficult to defog the environment. I also suggest installing holders for hygiene products in the shower and adjusting the latch to prevent water leaks outside the shower. The walls are lined with a material that can cause stuffiness and accumulate dust. The noise of the staff carts in the hallway is a bit disturbing. It would be useful to consider installing screens on the windows to prevent mosquitoes from entering, as I observed the presence of mosquitoes.

IsraelEverything was fine.
The hotel is situated just two quarters from Roma Termini, which was very convenient for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room also met our expectations. It was nice and clean although rather small. The breakfast was quite satisfying with range of cheeses, eggs, sausages, vegetables and fruit and desserts. It was quite enough to start the day in Rome.

AustraliaExcellent apartments in a central location near the train station and metro, yet away from the noise. There are several high-quality restaurants and bars in the area open until 1:30 AM. A 24-hour store is available. The room includes a desk and a luggage couch. Perhaps the only things missing are a lamp and a kettle. However, there is a neet balcony overlooking the inner courtyard with a table and a couple of chairs. It's also worth noting the aesthetic design of the hall, where you can sit and relax in comfortable chairs surrounded by paintings.

SpainValue for money all was good. Although a nicer view would have been cool. No major downsides.
Excellent location next to the train station and the metro. Close to many eatery options. Close to an important basilica that is for sure worth to visit. There is also 'the mercato', perfect for a meal or a drink, good quality of food at reasonable price. Room we had was a bit 'hot', we couldn't lower the temperature but left the windows open. Small fridge to keep some stuff cool. No views (view on a patio), regular matrass, good shower. Ideal for a 2-4 night stay as you will be visiting rome.
