The set dinner was a little disappointing. There was an unpleasant odour from both bathrooms the following morning.

The position on the beach with its swimming pool completed our day. The pool and surrounds were first class. Staff were happy and friendly. The gardens were well maintained.

There is a slight musty smell in the rooms. I think maybe it's from the winter humidity. Cleaning is excellent. However, staff starts very early in the morning. There can be some noise.

Breakfast is excellent There is a private beach at the facility. The sea is wavy at times (maybe it was during our travel season). However, I read in the information that this part of the island is suitable for surfing. away from the noise of the city. You must have a vehicle. There is PULA town nearby for night activities.

If you do not want to have lunch/Dinner there, you are dependant on a car (not bad but you need to know) Room partially was not properly clean Anyways it is a place to relax and where we would stay again.

Huge resort with a lot of space to spend the time. Very friendly and attentive and welcoming staff. Private beach is very comfortable , Pool is so beautyful and perfect located for windy times. Huge variety in breakfast (good combination of intercontinental and Italian). Restaurant is recommendable.

Nothing - I read other reviews with negative feedback about the rooms and the structure. Yes, it's traditional and may need some updates here and there, but it's great value for money, relaxing and we would definitely go back.

Amazing location, close to some of the best beaches in the area. The swimming pool is fantastic, as it is the private beach. The hotel and private villas are surrounded by trees and it's very quiet. The grill on the beach is very good and overlooks the private beach.

The room was small and dated, albeit very clean.

The hotel grounds are lovely, the pool and views exceptional. The private beach was also great to spend a day and afternoon there although the sea can get quite rough since the bay is not naturally too sheltered. Free beach towels daily was a great bonus.

The room was not comfortable at all, the lack of cleaning, the bathroom was smelly and it was not being cleaned properly for ages. It seems like the rooms needed a bit of revamp, I get the furniture being old and I really don’t mind, but it needs to be cleaned, the inside of the wardrobe was with a lot of stains and the same for the bed lamps. It was a shame as we had a room with sea view. Overall the cleaning for me as a problem considering is a 4 star hotel.

The location is great the private beach made the difference and the scenery is really relaxing and holiday invited.

The breakfast could have been a little more varied but quite adequate really, fantastic coffee and croissants. Some the of the infrastructure was a little damaged, paving etc, And I would have liked the pool to be heated a little, a bit fresh for me in May.

Loved the location and setting, all of the staff were fantastic, couldn`t have been more helpful. Every where was spotlessly clean if a little tired.

The only downside was that apart from the beach and the pool there was nothing to do. No water sports, no other attractions. even walking was very limited. Luckily we had a car. We stayed in mid-September and everything in the area was shut, majority of restaurants didn’t open until 7-8pm.

The hotel was wonderful. Private beach with golden sand, sun beds always available and with no extra charge. Pool with a view on the sea. Rooms were cleaned every day and usually during your breakfast. The property was beautiful and very relaxing.

noisy air condition in the room, dated equipment and furniture, broken chairs by the pool and beach.

OK, hotel needs a large investment, rooms dated, air condition noisy. BUT! Amaizing garden, quiet beach and clean swimming pool are the best in the hotel. Beach chairs need to be replaced, most of them are broken. Some personnel is not friendly, especially men in the reception (but ladies were kind and helpful), food and wine excellent. Beach bar needs more variety of food.

Step back in time to appreciate what glamour once looked like to have a restful stay.

Stepping back in time, means a compromise with the needs of the modern world with the quaintness of a hotel built 60 years ago without a full renovation. It was last renovated in 2011 and with COVID it is need of greater attention. Our room smelt of mould and the only solution offered was a spray. The sash on the window broke and hit me and resulted in a sore shoulder. There was no assistance offered just an excuse that a maid would never leave a rag stuffed in the window, but it did get attended to within a day. Our toilet seat broke and we had to wait 2 days for it to be replaced. There was no light to our room in the hallway and it took 3 days for it be turned on after repeated requests. The staff are unable to do anything without the manager's consent who is more intent on cost savings than visitor comfort. He sits right behind the front staff with a stern look on his face keeping a micro-management eye over the staff. We were told the wrong information about the availability of getting bottled water - as we had been led to believe it was free from the bar - but no you had to pay for it. There was no hair conditioner or body lotion available (which is common with hotels like this in Italy). The restaurant is reminiscent of the origins and the menu was old and sophisticated as were the staff. There is a seating hierarchy as to where you can sit in relation to being closest to the view so when the maitre'd looks at you down his nose, you know you are in the 3rd row.

The peacefulness of the place really lends itself to a restful stay. We had a great size room with balcony with a view to the sea. A good choice of accomodation choices within the hotel and the abundance of sun loungers means you do not need to reserve or pay extra for the privilege. Breakfast was adequate and The Grill for lunch was really fabulous with an amazing view. Nice pool with little action with everyone at the beach. Great position from which to sightsee Chia and Isola di San Pietro.

This is not a 4 star property! The hotel is old and authentic, it is 70 years old, not much has changed nor has the furniture in 70 years, its tired and needs a good clean and replacement of all furniture, the beds and pillows are horrible, the room has a smell most days, the bathroom I had to call maintenance to open the drain hole in the bathtub as I could not open it. The property is isolated with not much around it, the closest town of Pula is going to cost you 40 euros taxi fare for a 10 min ride, they do not offer a shuttle bus and if you don't have a car you will have no choice but to eat at the hotel restaurant at 35 euros for dinner that is average and not of high standard in choice or taste. Water bottles are 2.50 euros each, which you have to pay as no water is given free of charge during your stay, this I found ridiculous as on a normal day you would consume 3 bottles on average. The breakfast is super basic and very limited. One bar is open which you have to wait for service then be charged crazy prices for a drink. The gym has been in renovations for 2 years and still not operational. It really is a shame as this property could really be of high standard, I hope the owners read this as your guests feel ripped off after the stay, I also want to mention check your bill on checkout, I got charged taxes even though my booking with booking.com included all taxes and charges, I don't know why I was left with the feeling that I was constantly being charged for everything.

The property is on beautiful landscaped gardens and sea side, it is a tranquil location, very scenic. The majority of the staff are lovely and very friendly, not much else in the like category.
