Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa il Galero. Cristina’s warm hospitality made us feel instantly at home in this truly beautiful villa. Full of elegance, warmth, and history, it is a place that captures the heart. The setting is stunning, the atmosphere is serene, and we felt genuinely privileged to experience such a special place. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Asolo.

SwitzerlandNo shower curtain - but on the other hand, the character of the beautiful bathroom was therefore preserved.
Cosy spots to sit and relax dotted around everywhere on the huge estate. Excellent Breakfast on terrace with fantastic view. Beautifully kept interior and gardens and pool area. Excellent Service by Host and entire Team. Asolo old town only 5 minutes on foot away. Located in beautiful hiking, cycling and fine food and Prosecco area.

RomaniaWould totally recommend. Cristina was an excellent host! I am happy we got to stay in La Beretta. Would definitely come back with all my firends and book the whole property and also take advantage of the pool. The property is huge, on a hill in Asolo. With beautiful gardens, patios, space for everyone and everything. It is just a dream.

GreeceAmazing place! It is the best place to connect with the historical feeling of Asolo. The houses are big with everything you may need. It is an historical building and the owners have renovated it, keeping all the decorative details of the past, making the stay in this house a unique experience. The house is just few minutes walk from the center, where we could find restaurants and shops. The host is a lovely lady, with italian gentleness that made us feel like home. It is an ideal place for big groups or to make your wedding there, since there is a small old church inside the property. The property is huge with pool and many patios that you can enjoy the beauty of the landscape. It is one of our favorite places that we visited the last years! Thank you again!

United KingdomWe should have booked to stay longer! Seriously what a serene, elegant and special place.
Nothing can prepare you for just how lovely Villa il Galero is. It's a cluster of buildings built in 1696 on the hill over Asolo. The gardens are fabulous and the views over the surrounding countryside are spectacular. We were in the "apartment" which feels more like a little cottage with 4 rooms and 2 patios. The floors are marble and there is polished plaster on the walls with beautiful (and clearly very old) hand crafted plasterwork designs on the walls and ceilings. It feels incredibly special. Cristina our hostess was a very kind and elegant lady; she really makes you feel welcome and supported and then leaves you alone (which is just how I like it). We texted if we needed anything specific and she would come over. The fridge and table in the kitchen were crammed with breakfast options; a very generous and varied assortment. There was a bath with a shower attachment - but this is an old, historic building so you just get on with it and enjoy all the many, many other benefits. Plentiful hot water and good pressure. 10 minute walk into Asolo with plenty of good dinner options there - and of course places to sample the local Prosecco ;-) There was a wedding party arriving after we left - can't imagine anywhere more beautiful to get married. Lucky them!

AustraliaI wish we had more time there.
The property was exceptional. Christina, the owner was there to greet us and showed us the facilities and the room which was wonderful. The views, the terrace, the various other rooms we could use for relaxing and the breakfast terrace were amazing. We were a 5 minute walk from the centre of the historical town of Asolo which is a must visit location. The villa is 400 years old and retains all of its charm, elegance and character due to the love and passion shown to it by Christina. A truly superb stay.

United StatesNo one could ever complain about a property and host as lovely as this. Not only is it stunning, it is clean, comfortable and has beautiful grounds right near a very small village. We had the cottage adjacent to villa. Our host went out of her way to welcome us and help to make sure our anniversary stay was memorable. We got lucky with great pool, lounging weather and thoroughly enjoyed prosecco overlooking the fruit trees and countryside. Can't recommend this enough.

United KingdomYou just need to make sure you go to the main gate and are clear about arrival time. Don't expect large walk in showers but luxurious baths! It was not a problem but if you arrive by local bus, they don't go into Asolo and you just need to use the local minibus service.
This is a very special place to stay and not really like being in a hotel. You feel more that you are a guest of the family staying in their home. The house and the rooms are just as if the family are living there rather than next door. In many ways, it feels quite old fashioned but that is part of its charm. Our room was delightful with some beautiful features and wonderful views. There are lovely grounds to sit in and soak up the atmosphere. It also has one of the biggest swimming pools I have known by a house-not great for children but good for a proper swim. Breakfast was in the most stunning setting and with very high quality content. Asolo is an easy walk away and so worth visiting with good quality restaurants. Local wines are well worth sampling and not expensive.

RomaniaDespite being the only guests on the property, we were barred from using any of the main villa’s shared spaces simply because we’re Romanian. After enjoying a nearby winery tour where we picked up a bottle of Prosecco and some local cookies we’d hoped to share but as soon as we seated in one of the terraces the owner came to tell us that “Other guests are coming and this is not a gypsy camp” and forced us into a cramped backyard behind the guesthouse—out of sight, with no proper seating. All the while, five beautifully furnished terraces around the villa sat unused. We were forbidden to eat breakfast together as a group and had to shuffle between two kitchens to fetch food. No staff were on duty until “the proper” guests arrived. After we confirmed with the owner if our friends from the guesthouse can join the main villa, they came over and followed the guesthouse rules by making their own breakfast from the provided fridge, while we simply wished to be seated together in a common area—yet were nagged at that it is not ok to do so. The owner told us about how expensive it is to heat the villa, explaining why the radiators stayed cold day and night. Only when a couple of “acceptable” nationality checked in (on night two) did the heating magically come on and we slept comfortably. On top of this, there’s an unexplained 20 kW-per-day electricity cap per room with vague threats of “extra charges” and no meter to track usage, yet the cleaning staff repeatedly left lights blazing after their visits. The grounds and buildings are beautiful—but the owner’s openly racist rules, invasive surveillance, and hidden fees make this place completely unwelcoming. I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone. While writing this review, I noticed that the owner started replying on Google Maps to some other guests, justifying her actions and blaming the guests for not knowing the rules. Rules that could’ve been clearly stated or mentioned in a non-racist way to us.
Nice village and surroundings
