Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The aircon keep tripping the safety box It would have been good to have some information in the room like wifi, how to work out the hot water etc
The room with part of rock inside was very nice. Easy to find, in high season it has a restaurant Short walk to cafe/ restaurants and the lake

It is so far away from Riva del Garda that it's not easy to walk. The bus is often late and rare in the evening. The free Garda bus is a good ride but you have to make a reservation ahead of time. There is a Garda card on an app available for all hotel guests in this region. We only learned about it on the second day. We could have saved the fee for the cable car up to the castle the first night if the hotel would have sent us the code for the app beforehand.
All was very nice, especially the staff. Very welcoming people. We didn't eat dinner there but the breakfast buffet was a great deal and fun to sit outside. Beautiful hotel and surrounding location. The house has a great atmosphere and it's very clean.

We left the windows opened and when we came back the room stinked because there are pipes from the kitchen on that side. I personally would not book this again because it is not an option not being able to leave the windows open. We wanted to pay the breakfast there but gave up when we saw the offer, breakfast offer could be more versatile.
The rooms were clean, kudos to the cleaning ladies!! The water that was waiting in the rooms was nice. The room is spacious. Parking big and safe. Nice surroundings.

Small issue with the air conditioning but out of their control and they did their best to fix it as fast as possible.
The restaurant was the best restaurant we have been to on our 14 day trip around Italy. Staff was great. Room was great. Lots of parking on site

The en-suite bathroom smelled damp and the room therefore too. Also there was no tea or coffee maker in the room, which would have been nice as the restaurant that belongs to the place is not open on the morning and you need to walk to the town or lake to get some. Also there is only sheets and no blanket, so I was quite cold during the night with the window open.
The location is great with just 15min walk to the lake. There also is nice restaurant attached to have dinner. We stayed one night in the room with the rock and it was spacious, beds comfortable. Staff was is friendly.

The window was small which made the room too dark for our liking. Also the conditioner was quite loud.
The bed was very comfortable and we loved the green outdoor space next to the hotel.

The toilet was not properly cleaned & there was no place in the bathroom where you could put your toiletries + we had issues with the shower doors that kept on falling off the rails. The mattress was soft and not that comfortable. There were some spider webs and a few spiders in the corners of the room. To be honest, I also expected a room which has the rock as one of the walls and I was disappointed when we found out we had a room like in any other place and not as some of the advertised ones. Also, the room that we got looks worse than in the pictures as it lacks any bedsite tables and the bed was also different, but the room contained two green plastic chairs...
It is a decent room, with helpful staff and free parking. Maybe the biggest plus is the restaurant with the same name as the accommodation - run by the same staff which has very good food and a nice terrace, I highly recommend the restaurant for a nice dinner.

I would welcome some small table/chair for snack or laptop work. In the apartment there was just fridge, bed, night tables and wardrobe.
