Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bar was a bit of a let down. First night ran out of Vodka didn't have any in for the other two nights either. There was a few shops nearby they could easily have restocked. Second night ran out of tonic.
Hotel was lovely, service from the small team was great. Room was lovely, but didn't have windows. We didn't need them, we spent very little time in our room. Little touches like apples, pastries, lollies and sweets complimentary. Good position for sight seeing. 10 minutes from St Peters Square, cross the bridge for lots of breakfast options and easy walking to lots of piazzas and monuments.

We needed to walk to the restaurants in the neighbourhood. It's just around 15 minutes by walking. The way to the restaurant district was very dark because street lightning didn't work. But it was not hotel's problem :) If you want to eat the most lively district in the neighbourhood you need to walk a little bit. It's not a problem if you like to walk just like us.
Breakfast was very rich and staff was very nice. Our room was spacious and had a nice view. Because it was our first stay at the hotel they let us to stay in a room with a big balcony. The room was clean and very quiet. Sleeping was very comfortable.

The room was a little dark and it would not put me off booking there again, I have already recommended it!
Good size, as have stayed in Rome before and rooms were really small, loved the terrace too! good bathroom and comfy beds, what more can you ask for!

I had a room with small covered terrace (which is a plus for summer months) but as I was there during November, I had practically no light in the room.
The staff is really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The hotel is near Vatican City and within walking distance to the main monuments.

Bathroom fittings and decor outdated. No hangers next to shower for towels. Limited toiletries. Little to no natural light in room. Often smell of mould.

Room quite small, not enough light in the bathroom at night. Applying make-up etc would be difficult here.
Very nice location close to the Vatican, Trastevere and within a 15-20 min walk of many big sights. Farely quiet at night. Clean room.

1- High price for a 4 stars hotel. 2- Although my room has a good space, unfortunately the bathroom door was next to my head !! Literally the door of the bathroom was very next to my bed that i can open the door while i am laying down on my bed ! This is NOT right ! You have to do something for that

There was no water when we woke early to be transferred back to the airport - so we were unable to shower, brush teeth or flush toilet before leaving.

Shower so small very hard to close doors on shower. We are not big people. Anyone even slightly cubby wouldn’t be able to use.

We were a group of 6 and we couldn't eat at the same table at breakfast. Also, the entrance in the hotel is quite hidden - when we've arrived from the airport our cab driver left us 2 streets away.
Very good breakfast, good location, close to Vatican, very good value for the price paid.

No mirror in the bedroom. Rolando on reception was very friendly and helpful.
