Our stay at the Lido was wonderful. The location on the beach is convenient to shops and restaurants. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was full of varieties and we enjoyed dining on the patio. The only negative things I could say about the Lido would be that there wasn’t coffee in the room. And, only one machine at breakfast. The other thing was the beach chair seating was decided by the man we checked in with at the beach. Depending on your room, that was where you sat. On the second day I asked for the front row by the water. He wouldn’t let us, even though there were six available sets of chairs open all afternoon. I can only assume it’s because we only had a partial ocean view room? Anyway, very odd experience. Overall, a wonderful hotel and I would recommend a stay here!

To reach the elevator there are four or five steps, which makes it difficult with luggage, specially ours that were big because we were starting a 4 week tour by car.

Room was large and clean, with double patio doors to the balcony. View is straight out over the beach to the sea. We slept with doors open, but the blinds down, listening to the waves. Freshly made fruit salad was the best part of breakfast.

Everything at Hotel Lido was superb! The staff was so nice and gracious. We enjoyed everything from our spacious room, breakfast included, lunches on the beach, and private beach. We had an amazing and relaxing vacation. It was the perfect vacation spot for us. We thoroughly enjoyed Hotel Lido and Alassio!

The only misgiving I would have would be that I imagine in the summer heat the air con would be inadequate

The male staff were exceptional from reception to our leaving. All were helpful and charming and were English speaking. The hotel is spotless and the buffet breakfast was very good

Restaurant food isn’t that good. My room had a side ocean view and was cheerful but it was next to a church and the church bells chime. I had busy street noise. Pretty view though. Pillows are flat, not soft and uncomfortable. Bed a little hard. Bed could be made to be more comfortable and opulent. Need more shelves or cabinet for toiletries and hooks in bathroom for towels. Rack under sink looked bad. Room refrigerator could be better.

Location is very good. On beach and not far from shops. I like the style of the hotel. It was built in 1921. Most of the staff are nice and helpful. Decent breakfast. Rooms are clean. Fairly comfortable. My room was cheerful. Receptionists at front desk are awesome.

We would have appreciated an armchair in our room to relax. There is nothing else to dislike.

The hotel is located right at the beach with reserved beach chairs for the hotel guests. The centre is also comfortably reachable by a 10 minutes' walk. All members of the staff were very polite and mindful. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the room.

After hard thinking: nothing

The hotel staff was very kind and the breakfast and food were perfect. Very nice rooms with views towards the sea. The next time I would book The Lido again!
