Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaUnfortunately the restaurant is no longer operating.
This property is absolutely unique. Not often will you be invited in a gem of a small palazzo (as a paying guest). I is full of history and furnished with amazing antiques. Don’t expect mod cons. This is not a Hilton or a holiday inn. This is 16th century history. We loved it

NetherlandsWe only stayed one night, but it really felt special. The palazzo is full of history — frescoes everywhere, old woodwork, antique furniture — it’s like stepping into another time, but in the best way. Dinner was amazing. A four-course meal with local dishes, all beautifully prepared and served with real care. Even the napkins were embroidered. The service from Claudio was perfect — very professional but also warm. Federica, the owner, cut fresh flowers for our room — such a lovely detail. The room itself had everything we needed and a beautiful view over the valley. Everything felt personal and thoughtful. It honestly felt like a privilege to stay here. One of those places you don’t easily forget.

ItalyVery friendly hosts, beyond beautiful surroundings and the building is just superb. An old palace with what appears to be renaisance-esque frescos and paintings. The area is just amaizng with lots of activities and places to see. Plenty of wineries, walking, food procuers around.

ItalyThe room was large and nice, however a bit cold when we were there in the fall. The breakfast was rather modest. As is almost always the case when you stay in historical buildings, unless they have been turned into expensive luxury hotels, they are not everywhere kept at 100%. This is sort of part of the deal and the overall experience is still better than staying with a bland hotel chain.
The building is amazing with stunning rooms and surroundings. It was a real treat to sit on the terrace overlooking the countryside sipping a glass of the local wine. The town was charming and we had a nice dinner in a restaurant close by (the hotel does not have a restaurant). The owners were friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsIt was amazing! After a warm welcome the host showed us the old and completly authentic villa. After drinking a local red wine in the garden with the beautiful view over the mountains they prepared a delicous five course (vegetarian) meal for us and the other guests. The ambiance was breathtaking. The host was so warm and kind that it felt like stepping into a romantic movie. I’ve never experienced “la dolce vita” like this before. The rooms are great, location is wonderful, food is amazing and I Would definitly recommend this place to everyone!

RussiaWe did not think that we would spend the night in the museum)))) Everything was very chic, we liked everything. From the location and the room in which we lived, to dinner. This is a wonderful place. I don't have enough words to describe everything I saw and experienced. You definitely need to visit this place.

United StatesSleeping in the beds was like sleeping on a pile of bricks, extremely hard and uncomfortable. The bathrooms were old and in need of update. The villa itself needs an update. Dinner was expensive for what was served (50E per person!). Breakfast was nonexistent - they put out some pastries and "cakes" and made us a couple of cappuccinos.
We had an unexpected change of plans and booked this stay at the last minute. If you want an authentic villa vibe - this is your place to visit. The villa looks like a true Italian villa from earlier centuries. The hosts are trying their best at keeping it that way.
