Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

KazakhstanIf you’re looking to explore Amalfi coast Salerno is the best choice to stay and Hotel Plaza is very good option. Hotel is located next to the train, bus station which is very comfortable if you’re travelling by train or bus. Also there are a lot of restaurants, cafes near hotel.

United StatesFRONT DESK 24HR, STAFF IS GREAT. BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD. ROOM VERY NICE. LOCATION NEAR TRAIN STATION, AND RESTAURANTS IS GREAT. ALSO A CATHOLIC CHURCH ACROSS THE PLAZA. WE WALKED TO THE PORT AND MADE RESERVATIONS FOR THE NEXT DAY FOR AN ALL DAY AMALFI COAST TOUR. IT WAS VERY GOOD -- IT STOPPED AT AMALFI AND POSITANO TO ALLOW DINING , SHOPPING, WALKING.

United StatesAC was a little slow to start. Took a while to cool down the room to a comfortable temperature. It was a very hot day, over 100° , so maybe that’s why. I wish they had more variety for breakfast. Didn’t see any deli meats or eggs, just pastries. Not sure if that’s always the case, but it was while we were there.
Loved the location of this property. Steps from the train station and in the middle of everything. We walked everywhere. The rooms were clean and very big, which isn’t always the case in Italy. The breakfast was okay. I would definitely stay there again.

Superb! Close to absolutely everything. Whether that be restaurants, cafes, shopping, attractions and transport, you couldn’t ask for better. We’ve stayed here before, and again this time around, and will definitely stay again next time. Staff are just lovely and so very helpful as well. Their complimentary iced tea, snack’s, lollies and gum after a long day of walking around, is the best reward ever to re-energise. Thank-you! You’re the best!

Each morning, we awoke to the aroma of freshly baked pastries . The breakfast spread was nothing short of magnificent—fresh fruits, locally sourced cheeses, artisan breads, and rich Italian coffee that started our days on the perfect note.

United StatesThe only downside was Salerno town itself. While still charming in many ways, the city felt a bit neglected — litter and graffiti on old buildings made parts of it look worn. Still, the hotel made our stay wonderful, and we’re grateful for the experience.
*Location: A lovely boutique hotel in Salerno. The location is perfect — right on the main shopping street, steps away from great restaurants, the train station, and a beautiful seaside promenade with a flower-filled park that felt like a hidden gem. * Hotel: The hotel room was small but so thoughtfully designed. Every inch was smartly used, with space for our luggage and all the little touches that made it feel welcoming. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the elevator was a nice bonus. We parked in a nearby garage recommended by the hotel — it was reasonably priced and just around the corner. * Breakfast was served in the most charming little restaurant downstairs, elegant and cozy. The food was delicious with options for every dietary need, and the coffee was the best! Absolutely perfect. * Staff: The highlight for us was the hotel staff — kind, attentive, and incredibly professional. They made everything feel effortless, always available when needed without being intrusive. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in every detail of their work. From warm greetings to helpful suggestions, they truly made us feel at home.

NetherlandsIt would be a nice addition to have real glasses, instead of plastic cups in the rooms.
With a few steps out of the Salerno train station it was lovely to arrive at this family hotel, with friendly staff. When I arrived in my single room, I was happily impressed by the high ceilings, the air-conditioning and the smell of soap. For a small room, it felt spacious with good eye for detail. The bed was good, and the internet worked perfectly fine. In the morning I enjoyed the breakfast, by which I felt like entering a bakery.

Excellent hotel that couldn't be more central. The room was quiet despite overlooking the square by the railway station. Comfortable beds, quiet A/C. Breakfast choices are good especially if you're into cakes and flans.
