We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

FinlandThe elevator was a little bit scary and first hard to find. The walls was paperthins and the noises loud from the street. But I get used to it and the third night I almost loved the noises, made me comfortable.
The room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Every morging I woke up with a nice smell from the breakfast. Breakfast was tasty. The view was the best part, loved to drink un espresso napolitano with the ocean and castle view. Good location. Nice little coffeebars around and metro was a short walk away. Shouts to Antonio, who made my italian better just by talking to me and asking questions!

United StatesThe water pressure in the shower was not strong which made showering difficult.
The location was great for experiencing all areas of Napoli. We also enjoyed having a room with a terrace and jacuzzi as we used it daily. The AC was great during the July heat.

United KingdomNo wine glasses or drinking glasses in the room. Had to nip out to the bar to collect some glasses which wasn’t a problem for the staff but I was ready for the hot tub before I realised this. So that wasn’t great.
No faults with the property or room. Everything was perfect. Staff lovely and very attentive.

United StatesBetter transportation
My stay was great. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and pleasant ( just a slight language barrier). The only issue I can say I had was that Antonio over charged me for his services. 35.00 to pick me up at the airport and I tipped him once we arrived at the hotel he helped walk my luggage across to the port and overcharged for that and then to take me to the airport he charged me 50.00. So that would be the only negative thing I could say about my stay. Oh almost forgot, upon my arrival the manager did upgrade my room. The room was very cozy.

United StatesRight off the main street leading to Castle Nuovo so evening road noise should be expected until 10pm(?) or later. Unlike 802 with a full bathroom, 803 had a "wet. bathroom" which is an adjustment for Americans.
Staff was very friendly & helpful. Location was excellent right near Castle Nuovo with many eating options. Hotel serves a very nice breakfast. 5 min walking distance to hop on/off buses. 10min walking to Beverello ferry terminal. Only 25min walk to Archeology Museum.

United StatesTo those not familiar with Naples alleys, the hotel seemed kind of sketchy when we arrived. The entrance is in an alleyway inside an old commercial building with a flight of maybe 8 steps to get to the very small, old elevator. Again, it all felt sketchy until we arrived at the 8th floor where the hotel entrance was very modern and secure. Once inside, we were fine with our booking. Other than this, I would comment that the hotel is in a very busy area with some street noise throughput the night, but this didn’t really bother us after we got used to it. Lastly, we thought the bar would be opened in the evening but no one was there when we went. Luckily, a very wonderful restaurant is right outside the hotel entrance in the alley (La Lazzaro) which had delightful service, excellent pizza, pasta, salads and other dishes and a good wine selection.
Our room was very nice with a comfy bed and pillows and several extra touches like slippers that we appreciated. The bathroom was well appointed with a large shower, bidet, and toiletries. Martina and Pasquale were very professional and helpful before we arrived, at check-in and with advice throughout our 2-night stay. The location was walkable from the port which is what we wanted coming off our cruise, as well as close to the airport for our early morning flight after two days touring Pompeii, Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast. Our tour pickup locations were within a few minutes walk as well. The rooftop view in the breakfast bistro and bar was not spectacular but probably typical for an intown property and we were glad we could grab a yogurt and sweet roll before we began our long touring days.

AustraliaCheck in was quite difficult and no clear directions given so we were standing in the hot sun for approximately 15 minutes waiting to check in. It’s located near the port but feels like a very sketchy part of town
The room was spacious and nice, plus they had a huge shower which was nice after so many bath showers in Europe.

United KingdomStaff tried to explain how to get in before we arrived but it was a little short notice. Luckily a staff member going home spotted us and helped. Could do with slightly thicker doors as you could hear the reception and road noise can't be helped. It didn't bother us but could be an issue for early sleepers
Location was ideal - it felt like a little high-quality oasis within the city. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Nice sun trap seating area with good views.

United KingdomThis might be the case with all the properties in Naples but it was very noisy at night. All the cars and motorcycles were honking and as the room is not soundproof, I could hear everything.
The hotel is very clean and cosy. The view was amazing, especially the rooftop terrace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location as well, we were minutes walk from main destinations.

CanadaThe walls are very thin so you can hear everything that’s happening in other rooms and the hallway. Breakfast could be better. The way the shower was set up in the bathroom made a big mess all over the windows and the floor. I would recommend that the hotel provides context/instructions to future guests on its location as it can be quite confusing going into the building and not knowing where to go.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean and modern.

United KingdomThis isn’t a hotel, more an expensive B&B. There are only staff on-site from 7am to 7pm. There is no obvious signage to tell you that you are at the entrance. It is in a nondescript building though WhatsApp message explained what we had to do to get to reception on the 8th floor. The windows are not double glazed so we had to use ear plugs to get to sleep as Napoli is not a quiet city. Breakfast is only an Italian breakfast with croissants & pastries.
The location was ideal for our 4 night stay and the staff were very nice. The rooms are clean & modern with big wall mounted TV. The view from the roof terrace is stunning. You can see Vesuvius and the cruise ships that have docked. Fantastic restaurant next door.

United KingdomThe noise from the amorous activities in the next room. Followed by the argument at 2.30am, which got through my noise cancelling headphones and woke me up. The interconnecting door is the problem. There’s no hooks in the bathroom or bedroom; no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities and my son was told that if he used more than 2 bedding items, we’d be charged.
Position in Naples is excellent. The staff are lovely; I highly recommend the taxi service. You can get on the alibus but the taxi service will go straight to the hotel. He’s lovely too. The hot tub was fab.

CroatiaThe walls between the rooms are not soundproof. There is too much light in the room during the night and the bed creaks almost when you toch it. There is no wall hanger, no any shelf or table to put things. There is also no towel hanger in the toilet, no any shelf in the shower. The jacuzzi is quite small and very poor quality. If it is raing the mud is falling directly from the roof in jacuzi. It would be nice that the room has coffee machine. The breakfast starts at 7am (sometime even after) so if you want to go out early you have to eat somewhere else. The hotel is well designed and nicely decorated but cheap, as you can see from a lot of details that are already falling apart after only a few months that the hotel has been opened. However, we enyojed our stay in Naples and all of these things mostly can be easily improved. Hopefully some of them will be, that is the reasons why I wrote all this.

United KingdomThe property was a nightmare to find. There are no external signs to indicate which building it is in and the ground floor entrance and lifts are not what you would expect. The hotel has only been open for six months so no one in the area can tell where it is. Our room had too much noise and light coming through from a thin joining door with our neighbours room. There is no sound proofing at all, you can hear everything from the room next door. The mattresses are really hard which may not suit everyone. There is no concierge on site in the evening. There are four big communication towers (radio/mobile) right above the property which detracts from what you would expect for a four star hotel.
Location of the hotel was really good. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes close by. The room looked really posh. The staff were very friendly. The outside jacuzzi was nice and the views from the property are impressive.

United KingdomHow difficult it was to find and gain access with no visible signage.
With no sign outside, it was difficult to find. Even locals working in the restaurant next door had not heard of it. It would be helpful to have a sign to go along with clear instructions of where to find it in advance as we walked round in circles. Providing the code for access to the building in advance would also help with clear instructions to take the lift to the 8th floor - I managed to gain access and walked up 4/5 flights of stairs but still couldn't find it as there were no signs. It wasn't clear from the photos on the website that we had booked such a small room, but staff were able and happy to provide an upgrade. The new room was fab, complete with a large bathroom, balcony and a view. Breakfast being included was a bonus.

IrelandDidn’t realise the hotel is on the 8th floor of their building. A sign on the ground floor would have been helpful because we were worried we were in the wrong location. Breakfast is basic, but a lighter breakfast is common in Italy. Our room had a sealed door to another room. Although the entrance door of the room was heavy and high quality, and we had privacy on our terrace, the connector door to the next room meant we could hear other guests zipping up suitcases / chatting early in the morning when there were guests in the room. Luckily it was vacant for a couple days of our stay.
Location is very good, close to the port and many tourist attractions. Lots of nice restaurants close-by. Staff are so friendly! Decor is very modern and very clean.
