Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdom-noisy air con in main bedroom, so we used a fan that was provided -second bedroom had no air con, so we used another fan that was provided -you'll be asked to pay tax in cash when you are at the apartment -you'll also be given the option to leave 10 Euros for cleaner to remove bin bags after checkout or do it yourself (but if you miss something, then you may end up being charged anyway) -the host will ask for 10 AM checkout, the night before you leave and it will cost more for 12Am checkout, even though -booking.com says checkout is at 11AM
-prefect location, very close to Rialto -great appartment with everything you need -very secure: you have to go through 2 secure doors (separated by about 10 steps) -on the day of arrival, you'll be in constant contact with the host via whatsapp so you can arrange to meet cose to the apartment -the host will send you insructions to fill out exemption form for Venice access fee

CanadaLack of extra blankets for the beds, although this would not be a problem in hot weather. At the end of April, when we were there, nights were still cool and chilly.
Very well located in the center of Venice and quite near the Rialto Bridge.walking distance to everything in any direction.

United StatesIt may be due to the thick walls that WiFi signal is available in very limited areas. There are switches that controls kitchen vent, water heater, etc. They are not marked and not obviously noticeable.
The location of the apartment is excellent. Walking distance to many top attractions. It is clean, quiet and spacious.

United StatesWifi was not reaching the master bedroom.
The location is excellent - right next to Rialto bridge, but on a quiet street. Restaurants and attractions are just around a corner. The apartment is big and clean with comfortable beds and 1.5 baths. We were met at the vaporetto stop and owner walked us to the apartment and showed everything. The washer and drier were also there - very convenient for us.

The location is great! The position is next to the Rialto Bridge - the center of Venice, access to any area is easy. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need, including an excellent washing machine and dryer.

United StatesVenice seems to have become a tourist-only city. Lots and lots of people, and everyone there seems to be a tourist or someone selling to them. I guess we can't complain, being tourists ourselves, but I miss the "get to know the locals" vibe of my younger travel days. It's still an interesting place to see and wander, with no cars around, but it's very crowded with foreigners. The property itself was fantastic, though not wheelchair/walker friendly. But the 10 or so steps to the apartment are behind the locked door, so you can leave the chair at the bottom if you can make it up the stairs. That's not really a complaint, just a note for the weak kneed.
Perfect location next to a busy square (restaurants, ice cream and shops), less than five minute walk to Rialto bridge and public transportation, easy walk to absolutely everything in Venice (maybe 15 minutes to Doge's palace and St. Mark's) , but far enough down the alley that noise was not a problem. Could not ask for better location, and place was clean and comfortable. Also, it was the only time during our travels a real live host met us at the bus stop (boat stop) and led us to the apartment, which might have been hard to find the first time.

AustraliaThe apartment lacks a lot of the little extra things that were provided in other places we stayed on our holiday in Italy and Spain e.g. there is a coffee machine but no coffee. For three people for three days there was only one full roll of toilet paper and two almost empty rolls left over from the previous guests - this is a basic requirement that really should be provided.
You can't beat the location of this apartment; it is just a few steps away from the Rialto and an easy walk to St Mark's square. It is even an easy 25 minute walk to the station if you don't have too much luggage. The Rialto vaporetto stop, which you can use to go to and from the station and St Mark's square, is only 5 mins walk. If you are going to Murano you need to walk about 15mins to Fondamente Nove stop 'B'. There are lots of cafes and restaurants just a few minutes from the apartment. A supermarket is a 10minute walk. The noise from outside can be disturbing at night but with the windows closed and the aircon on, you don't hear it. The apartment has a washing machine and a dryer which is great if you are staying a few nights. *Tip: The tickets for the vaporetto are expensive Euro 9.50 for a single journey and the Vaporetto's are really crowded, so if you are happy to walk then that is by far the better option. Also, if you do get the Vaporetto be sure to validate your ticket before you get on (they don't tell you this when you buy the ticket) or you will be hit with a very hefty fine. A lady standing next to us got fined 60euro; she had a ticket but didn't validate it.

United StatesWifi connection in the second bedroom were weak which we did not care too much or nor requested host to fix the issue. Great communication with the host.
Great location. 1 min from Rialto Bridge. Quiet street but as you walk 30 steps you are in the middle of it all. Apartment was specious and very clean. Layout of the apart, ent provided privacy. Host met us at the Rialto vaporetto stop and walked us to the condo. This helped us tremendously with not having to look for the apartment which can be a challenge in Venice. Overall great experience and would stay here again.
