Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was a little on the small side. Shower was a bit weak.

The hotel does offer a private taxi service from when you arrive at Ciampino, to the hotel, for 70 EUR. However, I would advise sorting your own taxi/Uber from the airport as this costs only 31 EUR for the journey from Ciampino. They do offer a taxi calling service from the hotel though, back to the airport, for 31 EUR also.
Breakfast was brilliant. Choice of 3 for no extra cost. Location of hotel is within walking distance of Rome's main attractions. 24/7 receptionist for ease. Lots of bars, restaurants, adn shops nearby.

The 1st room wasn't great, but the hotel was full so I was moved the following day and the 2nd room was 100% better in every way

Small kettle in the room would be excellent. However, hot water was available from the bar downstairs.
Great roof terrace, view of an old garden, breakfast and staff. Bathroom was spacious, with a big window. Bed was comfortable. Room had a nice view to Aventino hill. The place felt very homely, the staff were extremely kind. We stayed for a week and will definitely come again.

Certainly not the hotel’s fault that the block lost power for about 10 hours overnight (was a little stressful worrying about having phones charged before flying home the following day). But was restored in time! Staff were very apologetic (as I mentioned absolutely not their fault).
Good location close to cafes and restaurants. Staff were friendly and welcoming (especially the young gentleman looking after breakfast in the mornings - best coffee we had at a hotel on our trip!).

Overall presentation of the room was very spartan and dreary. The room we stayed in had a big gap on the ceiling by the doorway that you can see the cables running thru. A tea-making/coffee would be a very welcome addition. The bed was not comfortable, i have a bad back so bed springs poking the back is not fun. Bathroom was freezing. We were advised by staff to adjust the radiator but the knobs don’t work.
Location. Quiet and peaceful area and close to restaurant, shops, and transportation links. Staff were polite and helpful. We didn’t try their breakfast but the food in the restaurant was amazing. View on the rooftop was very nice

Bathroom is large which was wonderful, but the shower set up could be improved. Shower head kept sliding down. Otherwise it was a great bathroom
Breakfast was very good. A nice way to start our morning. Bartender in the evening was excellent. A real artist.

Older hotel Dark Lobby area. Rooftop bar was reservation only. Needed to change rooms to other side of hotel because of street noise.

Unfortunately our room was not equipt with a mini bar and the positioning of the toilet made it a bit uncomfortable to use.
The staff were lovely, accommodating and very helpful. The location was pretty great for our needs. The bathroom was well stocked with hairdryer, shampoo etc and there was a daily cleaning service. The room was small but had a desk and closet space. The bed was pretty comfy and we had some nice fluffy pillows.

The one downside to our room was how easily noise transferred from other rooms. There was a lot of low-level noise coming from the walls.
Staff and location were excellent. Mom thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable although small.
