Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe knew the location was a little out of the main tourist area which was fine with us as we love walking but it may not suit everyone.
The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast, great value.

United States of AmericaIf I was to Say one negative thing about the hotel it would be the location. For me it meant having to get taxi to the central monuments.
Beautiful old Villa that has been modernized without comprising the beaut of the architecture. Staff extremely and friendly.

United KingdomI couldn't use my hairdryer as it kept tripping the fuse, which would have been fine if there was a hairdryer in the room, but obviously, there wasn't 👎
The sun terrace was a lovely additional bonus 😀 The person on the desk gave lots of helpful advice 👌

IrelandBed could have been better, some of the power outlets did not work but that could have been due to our adapters. Shower was awkward, floor became slippery very easily.
Great Value, Large room, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony which was a huge bonus! Location was good, close to the train station and next to a supermarket. Mini Fridge in the room to keep water cool was a plus.

My stay at the hotel was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and offered me good sightseeing suggestions. The room was good size and bed was comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located, not too far from the major attractions. Coffee at the bar was very nice.

United KingdomWe didn’t try the breakfast (only because we wanted to try the local cafes at breakfast time) so not able to comment on the food.
Staff were lovely, especially the lovely night manager Alex! All the staff were so helpful, in the evening Alex was able to recommend local restaurants and bars, book us a taxi and call ahead to restaurants to reserve a table for us, and even make us a drink when we came back late. The rooms were lovely, big comfy bed, modern bathroom, all very clean and turned down every day. The location was great as there were a lot of bars/restaurants/cafes nearby and the hotel is in a very quiet spot (we were right at the front of the hotel and couldn’t hear anything from outside). It was a bit of a walk away from the main attractions and would need to take a bus or metro to areas like the Vatican/Trevi fountain/etc but there is a metro station is about a 10-15 min walk away and plenty of buses and only a 20 min walk from Termini Station. Overall a good area to stay in and very easy to access other areas of Rome from.

IrelandShower cabin way too small and I am a skinny person.
Location is conveniently close to Colloseum, and from there is easier to explore all other attractions in Rome. Spacious room. Free parking was a plus as it is nearly impossible to find parking in Rome.

IrelandWe found the mattresses very hard. A bit of construction work going in from 9am (loud drilling). Walls were thin. Heard our neighbour up in the night several times being sick. Part of the roof in the bathroom fell down. Thankfully we weren't in there when it happened and wer leaving the gollowing day. Floors in room were very dirty. Walked in my barefoot and had to wash my feet. Everywhere else very clean though.
Staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Hotel has a lot of character. Rooms are beautifully decorted. Lovely soft pillows. Extra bedding in wardrobe. Lovely little bar/outside area to enjoy a drink.

HungaryOddio, the neighbours next door were loudly enjoying each other one night, and we could hear them. It was funny, but a bit awkward. :) Lastly, others were trying to connect to our TV non-stop, but we declined them.
It was our first time in Rome, and we were very happy to find this hotel at a cheap price yet close to Termini. The staff was amazing, I had a great chat with someone from the reception, and we even made some jokes. Thank you for letting me practice my long forgotten Italian skills. The entrance of the hotel is very pretty, and our room was a bit small, but it was very elegant, and me me feel like I was in the series Bridgerton. :) Breakfast was very good, we were happy that we did not have to think about it before visiting the sights. There is a carrefour market very close. The wi-fi was really good, and the internet was fast. Oh and we saw the cute cat, so 10/10 experience!

IrelandThe noise isolation isn’t great. We had some family with 2 children upstairs who were shouting and screaming till late in the evening and since 5:30 in the morning. That was very uncomfortable
It’s a nice accommodation. Relatively close to the city centre, definitely having a lot of public transport options and a nice walk away from Colosseum

CanadaDay of check out the receptionist was terrible, and refused an old €20 euro bill I received from the colosseum - talking about the "maje" (maybe texture?) of the bill. I still have no clue what he meant, but all the other staff was great though.
