Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanI hope there’s bath salt to use in the bath inside the room in case guest does not want to use the public bath.
Location was really convenient, room is clean. There is a small sofa and table. Staff were nice, breakfast was decent enough and there are a lot to choose from.

United StatesThe water was highly chlorinated, I had to turn the bathroom fan high when I used the faucet. The room was small, I had a carry on and couldn’t open it fully: had to open it halfway. My view was the building next door and its air conditioning unit.
It’s close to the train station. There are many restaurants and shops along the way. Inside was quiet while outside there is both foot and car traffic. You need a door card to use the elevator which keeps the hotel occupants safe. The buffet breakfast was tasty and varied. Although the room was small, it was well organized.

ThailandThe room is small (typical Japanese hotel room size) so it’s quite inconvenient when you travel with big luggage.
The hotel is located not far away from Sendai station, morning market and Clis road. The room seems to be clean. The bed is comfortable. Onsen is also very good.

AustraliaPublic bath whilst a great feature is heavily chrolinated so please be aware before jumping in. You will defintiely need a shower post bath. Rooms were a little cramped but not horrible. No work desk was a bit of an issue but also not a huge deal breaker.
Check in was smooth and although we arrived only a little bit before their check in time, they were generous enough to have provided us with an early check in, which is extremly rare even in the most busiest of hotels in Japan. Room was cosy and small so it was a bit cramped for 2 ppl but comfortable for 1. There was also a public bath on site. Short walk to great shopping around Sendai including a super market and conbini nearby as well as JR sendai only a short 5 minute walk away. Lots of great eateries nearby as well.

IrelandNo problems. Enjoyed our stay.
We stayed two nights here. We enjoyed our stay. We didn't get the breakfast so can't comment on that. The location is fine, very near the train station. I would stay here again if in Sendai.

SingaporeRoom was a bit small. It's a 10 minute walk from Sendai station and there are nearer hotels along the way. Would be nice if the staff allowed for early check in.
Staff were pretty competent with basic English without needing a translation device. I liked the breakfast. There was a choice of beef tongue stew or beef tongue curry in case you're pressed for time in sendai and might not have the chance to try both. Also rice flavored gelato and 4 misos to sample from. Makes breakfast more interesting than other hotels I've stayed in Japan.
