Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe local buses come infrequently and you really need a rental car for the location of the hotel to get the most out of a trip. The hotel staff were friendly and polite, but we found it strange that they gave us coupons at check-out to spend on their souvenir shop when they knew we would be in a rush to get on their shuttle bus. It would have been nice if they gave it to us sooner before check-out and we would have been happy to buy some things from their souvenir store while we actually had lots of time. It is a very minor thing though and not a complaint.
The onsen had nice views and some of the food was excellent, especially the asari tsukudani. The staff were mostly polite and friendly. It was also nice that the hotel provided a shuttle bus.

United StatesThis is located very far from the main ferry port. There is a shuttle bus service, but it only runs a few times a day. So I found myself waiting for about an hour to catch the shuttle bus, and similar waiting on the way off the island. Still, it's a nice service they offer so you don't have to drive/have a car on the island. This is an older building and has some wear and tear that comes with that, so manage expectations accordingly. There was a mildly odor in my shower, but I didn't mind it terribly. There are not a lot of restaurants in this part of the island, and during the off season the few that are there were closed. So I would recommend using/booking the hotel restaurant out of convenience.
When I booked this I did not realize there was an onsen on the roof with views of the water. I just saw the affordable off-season price and was in the area. So it vastly exceeded my expectations. Staff were generally very nice and tolerant of my poor Japanese skills, though some were less tolerant than others. (Not holding that against them as a visitor here). I think every room has a view of the sea, it was beyond charming. They also rent out e-bikes, which I did for one day. Essential for getting around the island as the buses do not run frequently.

MyanmarNothing - I would 100 stay there again!
There were beautiful views everywhere, in the lobby, from all the rooms and from the elevator. The Onsen was lovely and the hotel was super thoughtful about providing all of the things someone might need to have a great first Onsen experience. The staff were also very kind and accommodating.

NetherlandsThe pool was closed, even though it was almost 30 degrees. It is only open in July and August, they should make that more clear. The building is a bit old. They should make the beach more accessible, now you can barely reach it and it is a bit dirty beach. Futon bed is really thin, so quite hard. Overall a bit expensive for what you get.
Beautiful onsen with amazing view! Also great views on the sea in the room. Breakfast is good and nice extras like a sweet in the room and icecream after the onsen (in afternoon). Large room.

JapanIf you don’t eat raw seafood or deep fried foods, skip the 6600¥ dinner buffet (lesson learned!). Also, outdoor pool doesn’t open until late July.

TaiwanThe dinner buffet is very delicious, but it may need more variety of ingredients
What impressed me most was the assistance of the service staff I happened to meet a young girl from Taiwan who helped us with the language barrier and was very patient in helping us translate and solve the problem! There was also a young Japanese boy who helped us with the hot spring temperature and finally helped us carry our luggage to the shuttle bus. I was very impressed by his perfect service.

Amazing view onsen, world-class “omotenashi” service, spectacular food (morning & dinner buffet is amazing-strongly recommend half-boarding options since there’s really no good restaurants around and cheaper to book it online than adding it at the hotel), free drink (coffee & tea)and free shuttle bus service from every port (reservation needed by a day before)
