Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe central location made seeing the city and accessing transportation very easy. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choices. Our room was comfortable and very clean as were the other facilities.

United KingdomUnfortunately, like so many places in Japan, I couldn’t use the spa because I have a tattoo on my back. A real shame and things are changing a little but you have to respect the culture.
Excellent hotel in a great location. The entrance is very classy and stylish. Staff at reception and in the restaurant polite and efficient. Room was a decent size and the bathroom was good. Buffet breakfast had lots of choice.

SwitzerlandActually everything is fine except one thing: The quality of the breakfast is just poor. We ended up going there once and afterwards just for a coffee and then somewhere else.
Great location. Perfect to reach a lot of restaurants and all relevant attractions as well as transportation. A parking lot is right opposite to the hotel, you get round about a 50% discount so we paid 1200Y per day. Spa is nice (women and men separate) and staff at the reception helpful. Overall price/quality ratio was amazing: 100€ per night with 3 persons and breakfast

AustraliaRooms were very tight. This would have been fine if some space was available for storage. There was none available so we had to put our things in the bath.

SwitzerlandLike in all Candeo Hotels the rooftop Onsen is a plus. Location is perfect to explore Nagasaki for a few days. We stayed there as a family of four with two toddlers in a "normal" twin room. Everything perfect as long as you don't mind to share the bed.

South KoreaWe slept with 2 adults and 2 children. The 2 single beds were put together, to accommodate 2 adults and 1 child (there is an extra sofa bed for the other child). We had to sleep in the width direction of the beds. We slept well, but it is something to keep in mind. The room was not very big. For the onsen: It is a shame the men have a sauna area and the women a steam room. It would have been nice if both would have been offered for both genders.
Great location! There is a public car park just in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is served in a spacious room with a great view over the city. The buffet was nicely put together. The onsen is clean and well designed, it is not very big but there is an indoor and outdoor bath.

SingaporeThe parking coupon provided by the hotel to park in the nearby parking complex could had been more. Japan's parking is really expensive and the coupon given barely covers 50% of the paid parking fee. Wish they have a better tie up with the carpark operators.
location is very central and easy to get around with trams and even driving. Rooms are fantastic and is really classy hotel. Hopefully they upkeep this hotel well and hear that other properties they owned in other cities are falling behind.

JapanThere’s only one big blanket for the king bed. We asked for an additional blanket because we were sleeping with our small children in the bed and didn’t want to accidentally cover them with the thick blanket at night and risking overheating or even covering their heads. We were explained it’s not possible unless we order another complete bed. I think this is a quite unreasonable policy.
Great location and very modern.
