Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI liked everything. No complaints
The room was clean with a great view from a huge window. The staff and service are efficient and friendly. We stayed for 2 weeks to see our English teacher Son, based in Mishima. Perfect location for trains including the Shinkansen, so easy for sightseeing. Would definitely recommend this Hotel and I will probably be back next year

United StatesDinner was very nice, though it's a fixed course. Only a couple of wines available by the glass.
Excellent amenities: cold barley tea at checkin, espresso machine in the tourist corner, wonderful breakfast buffet (eggs benedict, chick pea curry, vegan dish, local fish grilled to order). No cliché Japanese breakfast items like curry, soft boiled eggs. Superb spa with a view of Mt. Fuji when it's clear. Nice room toiletries, pajamas, slippers. Very large panorama window, unlike the usual punch slots at most hotels. A lunch buffet is also offered though I didn't try it.

United KingdomThe room was a little small but ok. It was very bright at night though, with many bright lights around the room. It was also not very soundproof, we could hear noise from next door. But ok as long as you bring an eye mask and ear plugs!
The rooftop baths were great, as well as the location. Staff are very helpful.

We had a corner room and the window faces Fujisan. The Onsen was very nice. The hotel was connected to Mishima Station and the bus stops. Travelling became very convenient and taking the train to Shozenji Station not only brought us to a beautiful Onsen resort but also to the Izu Peninsula.

AustraliaVery convenient location. Next door to train station and Shinkansen. The bus stop to the Skywalk was at the front of the building. We booked a room with Mt Fuji view. The huge picture window was perfect to sit and look at the mountain. The room was a good size. Tea and coffee facilities were good. We didn't try the restaurant. Staff were helpful.

United StatesGym was lacking. Only had treadmill and exercise bike. Probably due to culture differences in fitness.
Lots of eateries near the lobby and bus terminals for tourism.

The rooms are incredibly spacious, with a lovely chair facing out the window that apparently makes you look like an evil villain looking out into the world. The overall location is really good, with a convenient coffee shop being below the hotel, with amazing breakfast, coffee and butter beer (it's non-alcoholic if you're a muggle reading this) The staff were very helpful and even called the elevator doors and gave you a bow when you entered them, which did make me feel like royalty. Overall, I'd highly recommend a stay here, definitely a must in Mishima and it's just outside of the train station with a bus stop next to it.

There’s a public bath; room was considered spacious; we’re allowed to rent pillows as we used to sleep with more pillows; right beside Mishima Station!

United StatesThe other attractions in Mishima are further away, such as the Mishima Skywalk. The local bus system is not the greatest, and can cause some delays/confusion. I recommend using TaxiGO or other taxi services if possible.
The location was convenient. The hotel is a couple of minutes from the Mishima train station. The view of Mt. Fuji was incredible. Definitely request a room that views Mt. Fuji and try the rooftop onsen. The room is probably the most spacious one we had in Japan. If you are interested in trying the restaurant, I recommend making a reservation in advance. I will be visiting this hotel again, hopefully in the near future!

AustraliaThe trains can be heard from below, but the sound isn't too loud.
I loved staying in this hotel. The location was fantastic, right near the train and bus station, and I enjoyed the odd glimpse of Mt Fuji when the cloud cleared. The room was large and comfortable with plenty of eating options nearby.

SingaporeA comfortable stay. We had 2 room types, the bigger room which could accommodate a family with 2 kids had sufficient space + tatami bed which was great for the kids. This room came with Mount Fuji view as well which was a plus. The other rooms for a couple was pretty basic, with no Fuji view. Rooms were clean. Parking linked to the back of hotel is limited.

United StatesThere were not a lot of gluten-free options at breakfast. My husband struggled to get enough to eat. The scrambled eggs were very runny in consistency. Not we we are used to.
We had a corner room with a view of Mt Fuji and a tatami sitting area with western beds. I contacted the hotel ahead of time regarding a gluten-free meal for my husband. The hotel was very responsive. They assured me that it was not a problem. We had a dinner reservation. When we showed up. The staff were very prepared and provided GF options and even a list with allergy information for breakfast. We were blown away. The hotel is right next to the train station and very close to a park and shrine. The front desk staff helped us ship our luggage. Everyone was very nice. The best part was the onsen with a view of sunset and Mt. Fuji. It's a great overnight stay. Highly recommend it.
