Beautifully positioned hotel right at the lake shore.Just a few meters from the Hakone cablecar.The hotel is fully equiped for the relaxing vacation.Big onsens,foot bath on the terasse, traditional japanese dress at guests disposal.We especially enjoyed the food-both breakfeast and dinner was delicious.

A very modern establishment, so perhaps not what you want if you are looking for something more traditional. And a little remote if you are not making use of the free shuttle. Neither applied to us however, so absolutely not a critique.

We only stayed one night and it was a fantastic experience through and through. Shuttle bus service from Odawara station was punctual and easy to book with the hotel staff - provided a pretty ride through the mountains. Check-in was smooth, staff very polite and attentive. The terrace with the pool is as pretty in real life as in the photos, with a great view of the mountains. You can also sit with your feet in thermal water while enjoying a drink. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, ours came with a private tub on a little balcony which was phenomenal. The onsen was beautiful and well-kept, as was the sauna - a few more outside seating options would have been great but all very enjoyable nonetheless. The surprising highlight came in the form of the buffet restaurant. Fantastic choices and options, all freshly prepared and of the best quality. You need to book a 90-minute slot for dinner, and trust me, you will need the full 90 minutes.

It is not actually the property, but we had the unpleasant surprise at check out to not find any taxis. The reception told us we should have booked one day before, so we had to drag our luggage all the way to the bus station and it takes a little more than one hour to reach Odawara Shinkansen station and we missed our train.

Loved it!!! We have had a beautiful room with terrace and bathtub. And we reserved a private onsen. Totally worth it! Such a thoughtful touch - the beautiful Japanese robes they provide to wear after using the onsen, and you can wear them at dinner as well! Dinner was great! Get ready for Japanese food mainly. Drinks of all kinds are included. Location is best next to Togendai port from where you can take the Pirate Ship cruise.

Travel distance from Hakone station was long but free shuttle provided by the hotel was convenient.

Private onsen option was great for people who are not comfortable going into the public onsen. Great location for access to sightseeing areas. Walking access to both cable car and lake cruise.

Location is a bit isolated so no options walkable. But the bus and rope way (cable car) station right next door.

Room was good with private hot mineral bath on your balcony. Great buffet for breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. Beautiful location on the lake albeit a bit isolated. Hot springs (onsen) in the hotel quite nice but not many options.

Nothing. We loved everything!

The view was amazing. The onsens were so realizing. And the location is fantastic-an easy 5 minute walk to the pirate ship and ropeway. The excellent location allowed us to jump on the 1st pirate cruise of the day, arriving to the peace torri gate before all the day trippers got there. Breakfast & dinner buffet was great...we didn't have to worry about finding places to eat. Traditional Japanese food plus some American food, lots of choices. Two different types of yukatas were provided along with shoes. You don't have to wear it but most guests do and it just added to to the great experience. Free shuttle from the train station both ways! Massage chairs. Foot baths. Complimentary Beverages. Great service. What else could you want? I wouldn't stay anywhere else!! This is it!!

We had hoped there would be a pool but there were only the onsen. That was not entirely clear for us. The restaurant was good but it was everyday the same. A little variety would have been great
