Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeTheir F&B outlets were extremely expensive.
Quiet area but close to eateries and train and subways stations. They also provide a shuttle bus to the nearest station Hamamasutcho which saves walking 15 mins. There is a bus to take you back on a schedule of course.

AustraliaWe paid for a view room with the expectation that we would see the rainbow bridge, but the view was the opposite side of the river, which was quite dull. Not really kid/adolescent friendly. Shops are not within walking distance (only a family mart). No vending machines so everything is an extra.
The staff were excellent. atmosphere of the restaurants and lobby was gorgeous, but not kid/adolescent friendly.

CanadaLow budget toiletries, coffee in the room only for a charge, no pool, sauna etc. and poorly equipped gym. Also, it can be sensed that the place requires some revitalization, especially equipment in the room bears signs of aging.
Clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds and beddings, excellent view and a lounge access from the higher priced rooms, luggage storage if you are away for a few days. Delicious breakfast with a good selection of both the food and drinks. Extremely attentive, helpful and pleasant staff.

Netherlandsstaff at the seaview deck was arrogant, make us feel like we should be on our knees to be there. First day we were sent away 20.30 because it closes at 21.00 (we only wanted to enjoy the view), the second day at 20.00 we were asked to leave our front row seats 'because there was s reservation(????). We grudgingly moved seats enjoyed our drinks and then: nobody csme, the seats remained unused. When we asked the waiter he said 'it was last minute cancelled'. I was expecting an apology, felt treated as a second rate hotel guest. After a week back home I am still angry when I think about thst situation.
location, luxury hotel, great view from room, great concierge function (store luggage, arrange transport to airport etc

Amazing views of Tokyo Bay from our room - watching boats and ferries going about their business was great. Very comfortable room. Hotel close to some great casual restaurants as we chose not to eat in house. Lovely nearby park.

JapanThe room wasn't vacuumed when we came in. We're a shoes off on the carpet kind of family, but the people who stayed in our room before us unfortunately were not. I wanted our sheets changed more because of the dirt tracked into the bed from the floor than from actually sleeping in the bed. The front desk was frequently understaffed and for whatever reason would often build up a queue. These are the times when another staff member or manager needs to step in a help get the line moving. I mentioned the convenient coffee machine, but it was a pain to get coffee refills if the cleaning staff forgot to refill them during their rounds. The beds were horribly stiff, so I rarely felt refreshed when waking up. For me, this is the most important thing a hotel needs to focus on. I was hoping paying for a premium hotel would include premium service, but I just didn't see that here.
The view was really nice from our room. The in-hotel restaurant had a very comfortable atmosphere and delicious food. The breakfast buffet was convenient for my finicky-eater niece, but then she discovered Japanese curry and miso soup at Sukiya, so there was no going back from there. The pseudo-bay window in the room was also pretty cool to curl up and sit in with a tablet and appreciate the view. The in-room coffee pod machines were convenient. The staff's personality was very friendly and kind. Plus they were pretty competent with using their English too. The location is very convenient, particularly if you're interested in doing things around Tokyo Bay.

AustraliaThe restaurants could probably have made more of the view of Rainbow Bridge (which is not to say they didn't - it was just a little too understated.)
The view was excellent. The meals were unfailingly top notch. The service was also first rate. The location, whilst a little out of the way (and quiet because of that), was excellent from a transport perspective offering easy access to Haneda Airport, Odaiba shopping precinct and the Yamanote train line.

Hong KongWe were surprised by the hotel's lack of gym and spa, although the coastal roads nearby are good running spots and made up for this somewhat. There are also limited eating options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Our room was upgraded to the IHG club floor, which was spacious, comfortable, clean and well appointed. We had very pleasant, open views of Tokyo Bay. Although in a quiet part of town, the hotel is a short drive from Ginza and is close two two Tokyo Metro stations, including Hamamatsucho, a major interchange to which the hotel provides free shuttle bus services. The hotel is also close to Rainbow Bridge for easy access to the eastern parts of Tokyo, and there are two very picturesque nearby parks. The variety and quality of restaurants in the hotel is also strong, although our trip was too short to enjoy this fully. Finally, the ferry and cruise terminal is nearby which is helpful for those looking to explore Tokyo's outer islands. Good value for Central Tokyo, too.
