Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe blinds in my room weren’t very good at blocking the morning sunlight. The sun rises very early in Summer, so it was difficult for me to sleep past 4:30am. Some additional curtains would be great.
The hotel was lovely and very clean, in an amazing location. Beautiful sunset view from the rooftop! I caught a taxi when I arrived and departed as I had heavy luggage, otherwise it’s a beautiful and short walk to the station and very easy to reach many other parts of Tokyo.

Staff is very friendly, great coffee and good food, and small lobby shop. Rooms are not so big but the height above the bed made it feel more spacious. Rooftop terrace with a great view, especially at night. Quiet area but very close to Senso-Ji Temple, Ueno Park and train station.

United KingdomThe room was compact but had everything you needed in it, including a large telly! The mattress and pillow was very firm, but I've learnt that this is very common in Japan!
The reception and cafe have a beautiful funky design. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food at their cafe was very good and the compact room was very clean and cleverly designed. I will definitely stay here again! Lovely soft waffle knitt pJ's - and you can buy one to take home in their shop ! Great shower with Laura Ashley toiletries :)

United States of AmericaThe only thing that we didn't like as much was the size of the room. The room and bathroom were clean and modern and had everything we needed, but the size of the Standard Double Room is just very small for two people with 2 big suitcases. We would book here again, just choose a different room.
The location in Asakusa was great, quiet, comfortable, and close to Sensō-ji temple. Friendly and helpful staff. Good laundry in the hotel. Clean, and modern, with a rooftop terrace, lounge space, and a restaurant/cafe on the ground floor. We had a good breakfast in the restaurant every morning but there are also good food choices and convenience stores nearby (there's also a small store on-site).

AustraliaAs always, the room was a bit small but it's totally expected. Actually comfortably big for three people. The beds are Japanese style, as are most in Japan but these were more comfortable than others! This was a fantastic stay, you won't regret it.
Best area for comfort and access to all of Tokyo. Definitely recommend staying in Asakusa. The staff were great, lots of luxury must haves. Konbini down stairs, roof top views, smoking area, on site food and beverages. A fantastic spot for family or anyone travelling through. Great wifi and could even chrome cast..

United KingdomWe loved everything about the property for a short city break. booking.com however have lots of spam/phishing mails which originate from their platform it’s virtually impossible to raise concerns with them so I ended up calling by the hotel direct, who again were fantastic and really helpful. So therefore I’d book the hotel again but booking.com not a great site.
Great location; loved the cafe (delicious breakfast) and the convenience store on site. Our room was perfect for three of us, spotless and fab power shower. The value for money this property offered was phenomenal.

South KoreaI think this room would be claustrophobic for two people if youre spending a good amount of time in the room or have more than 2 suitcases. Almost 1/2 or the room is the bed. Desk was a bit cramped. With only a corner to shove it into at the foot of your bed, sitting in the chair, you your head was practically up against the TV. Glad it was there, but I ended up not using it and just sitting on the bed. Plugs by the bed were nice but plug placement way over by the front door was awkward-- not next to the desk. Possibly would be able to reach a plug behind the refrigerator. Bed was comfortable enough, but possibly a bit firm for some people. Only one trashcan, none in the bathroom, meant i had to keep opening the door to throw away bits of cotton and hair etc. So another small recepticle in there would have been nice. Lighting was mostly good overall, but only two options and no lamp. So option two has overhead lights above the bed. Better than all of them on, but not very relaxing.
Great for solo travelers and people who want to be close to touristy areas but not in them. I obly stayed one night but wish it had been two at least. Location: There is a cafe where a language exchange is held ( currently Tues and Thurs) so you could make friends on a long stay. Not far from a Lawsons or the Asakusa subway line. Also very close to the temple. Only issue with the closest subway entrance is that it is NOT the one that takes you to the airport. Lobby Interior: The space is clean, modern and busy! With lounge area chairs, some nice art on the walls, complementary water. You can use a terrace space to eat outside or in the cafe. They have a tiny self-serve convenience store inside as well for late night snacks and laundry detergent. The Laundry room has three combination washer/dryers, so while it takes 2 hours or more to do a load, you do not have to move clothes to a dryer. Plenty of laundry baskets means you can move the previous persons finished laundry out of the way without too much fuss. Great luggage storage. I sent one bag ahead several days before my arrival with no issues. They stored my additional bags before and after checkout for several hours. Amenities are available freely next to the front desk. Combs, razors, slippers, toothbrushes etc. The shower cap was a bit weird though. A sponge might be more useful to more people. Room is small but enough space to lay out a medium and carry on size suitcase. Linoleum at the door and carpet by the bed. A desk, tv with a guide for connecting to your personal device and hdmi port available upon request. Bed had a switch nect to the headboard and plenty of plugs. Bathroom had a tub and all soaps needed.
