RomaniaLow value for money. There was a line at the breakfast with more than 20 mins wait to get in at 07:00AM, which is the opening time. In my opinion this is unacceptable. The food selection was not that varied. Compared to the other departments, the reception needs to step up their game. They were not as warm and welcoming or particularly accomodating. Nobody picked up the phone on 4 separate occasions, and it was a hassle to prolongue our stay.
The facilities and the staff. Except for the reception, all of them were very kind and responsive. Everyone from in-room dining, laundry service, house keeping, health club, and the staff at the entrance provided impecable services and made us feel very welcomed.

The hotel was beautifully appointed and the location was amazing (right next to train station). Our room was large and had an incredible view overlooking the city. We loved all the common areas and had a number of delicious meals at the hotel, including room service. The staff was incredibly helpful. We loved coming home after our long days of touring, and getting whisked away to the 28th+ floors to overlook the city.

Staff was fantastic. Food was great - gym in particular was excellent esp the pool. I also did two spa service which were wonderful. Attention to detail through and through. The room was surprisingly large. I was here for the Tokyo marathon and the hotel even surprised me afterwards with an after marathon health food gift.

AustraliaWhilst we enjoyed the in-room dining, I felt the cost of meals on the menu was far too high. For bedding, no top sheet and only just doona/quilt for cover- was also surprising for this standard of hotel.
We loved the size of the rooms (interconnecting Deluxe King and Twin), the design/furnishings, and outlook toward the Imperial Palace Gardens. The bathrooms were great, the location was fantastic, my husband had a massage- he said it was fabulous, and the in room dining (various meals), and tapas/champagne special offer in the Lobby Lounge- which we chose also during our stay, were also all absolutely wonderful: The best part of our stay though- all staff were exceptional- we spent a month travelling around Japan and this was the end of our journey- the Shangri La Tokyo staff were the best of the best - level of service and friendliness was so amazing and will always be remembered. We loved our stay.

JapanAlthough it has the mirroring function on the TV, it did not work. I was saddened to find out that the teapot cap felt sticky possibly/hopefully from honey(?).
It was our second visit after ten years. We were grateful that they kept the facility neat: it brought back nice memories. The scent of the hotel from the reception to the room is phenomenal. We appreciated the sufficient number of towels provided for the stay;-) Pleasantly surprised to find out that our room was tidied up and prepared for sleep in the evening while we were away.
