Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaDidn't like the step up into the bathroom, they are like pods and it had a high step to climb into it. Saying that the shower was over a bath and it was very nice.
Our room was clean and very comfortable didn't have a view of anything. The breakfast was a buffet and had plenty to choose from, tea was a menu to choose from. Reasonable priced, they also had a bakery which had a lot of things to choose. It was just a 10 min walk to the station through a lovely park. Easy to get around.

Nice location tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of shinjuku. Good breakfast buffet and bakery available.

AustraliaThe bakery bread was not as good as Australian pastries. In fairness, Japanese ice cream is heaps better. Rooms could have been a shade bigger but I would modernise the bathrooms next.
Loved being right on the park and looking out at the metropolitan government building. Glad we weren’t in the heart of Shinjuku or Shibuya. Restaurant was fab. Loved all the animals. Staff were friendly. Very multicultural hotel.

United States of AmericaCleanliness was lacking to a certain extent. Hairs found here and there on bed. Disgusting. Dryers don't work well. I split one wash load to 2 dryers for 60 minutes each (each dryer load didn't have much) and one dryer was terrible, lots of damp clothes, the other dryer was better but a couple of slightly damp clothes. Taxi to station was 600 yen so not bad, but a bit far for those who don't like to walk much.
Breakfast and bakery. Park and Tokyo govt building view. Friendly interaction with staff.

AustraliaThe firmness of the bed. The staff did try to add extra softness. This is our personal opinion only.
The staff, food, location, and overall vibe of the hotels is probably the best i've ever experienced travelling. The bakery and staff are AMAZING. However the bed was just far to hard for us. So we found it very uncomfortable. That is my only criticism.

TaiwanNo trash can in the bathroom, so it’s difficult to not make a mess if you use anything with plastic packaging or cotton wipers. The sockets are less than other lower level hotels I’ve stayed in. Not very convenient. The bathroom light bulb went off and I had to call the maintenance in the middle of the night.
The bed is rather big for Tokyo standard.

AustraliaLocation was 10-15 min walk from the station depending which exit you exit from. But if you’re worried about walking then don’t come to Japan because that’s all you do. We made the most of the walk, walked different ways each day, saw different scenery and went to different shops.
Loved everything about it. Cool vibe, clean rooms, all you need really when you’re out and about all day.

United KingdomThe location was good but it is more of a residential/work area. Decent subway options within a 10-15 minute walk but not many good restaurants in the immediate area which meant heading back out to eat after a long day of exploring.
Bakery on the ground floor is amazing - great coffee and pastries. The room was clean and well equipped. Quite compact but not unbearable for the location. Staff were really Helpful and welcoming.
