Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I wish there's a desk in the room, but at this rate in one of the busiest place in Tokyo, how can I ask for more.
I love how the room is kept super clean, and all the staff are very fluent in english. The hotel is very close to the Shinjuku station, making it really convenient.

Mum, Dad & 14yo daughter. Used the hotel as our Tokyo base for 9 days before heading over to Kyoto. Can't fault the place. Perfectly placed by Shinjuku station with access to all of Tokyo and beyond in all directions. Staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable - special shout out to Leon for going over and above to ensure our daughter's room was within touching distance. Rooms were ideal for sleep/wash requirements, clean, tidy, private. Brilliant Microbrewery/cafe on ground floor. Some great local IPAs and food was very good too. Thank you WPU

It will be good if we can have more space to hang our clothes and have a smart tv to access online entertainment programs.
Location is very good, near to exit B16 of Shinjuku station which is convenient traveling to Haneda Airport via train/monorail and also to other places of interests. Hotel provides free beverages and bread in the morning and the lounge is very comfortable to chill. Room is clean with the necessary facilities and strong aircon.

The hotel is nearby Shinjuku west station, easy to get there from station. The social hall near to check-in is a nice opening space, you can get breakfast here or do work here. The room space is very comfortable and clean.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It was in a fantastic location, Shinjuku (just outside the chaos). The room was smaller than the European average, but still livable. The furnishings were recent, and the room was cleaned daily. Excellent coffee service in the lobby, which we took advantage of every morning. Coin-operated laundry service was also available. The young and friendly reception staff (they speak English). Some evenings, a DJ plays happy hour. The subway entrance is close by. From Narita Terminal 2, take the Airport Limousine Bus (orange or white) to Shinjuku Station West (Keio Department Store)

Great location - a minute walk from Shinjuku station (west), close enough to the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku but slightly tucked away so it was less crowded and a little quieter. Plenty of convenience stores, a pharmacy, eateries and other retail nearby to pick up snacks and other essentials. The room was large by Japanese standards which was great so you’re not tripping over suitcases and coin laundry/dryers available were super handy! Facilities and room were clean and tidy and all the staff were friendly and helpful with queries.

Minor issue but initially told could not check in & that could store luggage & to come back at 3pm. Only when I mentioned email exchange did the receptionist check the status of our room & see that my request had been accommodated & room was available. I think it should be standard to check status of room for incoming guests
Great property close to Shinjuku station. Staff very friendly. We arrived early ( around 9 am) from Sydney & I’d swapped messages before hand as to whether early check in possible. After 9 hour night flight really appreciated that it was.

The hotel is located a 3 min walk from Shinjuku station and right next to a big Welcia building which serves as a great landmark when navigating. The room was really clean and comfortable, fitted out with everything that we needed.

The room was very basic, no decor but everything was clean and comfortable

Nothing I didn't like, but wish there was coffee available throughout the day.
Location was everything. Absolutely smashing and in Shinjuku, a place that literally doesn't sleep. Loved that the coin launderette was on the same floor I was living in. Literally just took a few hours of chill time and got an entire load done and ready. No need to endure any sun or sweat.

Can be a bit noisy at night, but you are so tired from walking around it’s not a real issue 😜
