Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyNext to the hotel is a church and they are loudly performing mass over hours. A little far to the city center (i paid 150ksh for TukTuk)
Opposite of the Hotel is a „Railway beergarden“ and a good band from Zaire was playing.

Poland- noisy at night because of the church nearby (laudy music and prayers until 4:00 am) - maybe this is no issue during week (I stayed in this hotel Friday/Saturday)
- super nice staff - good and cheap breakfast - clean bedsheet - located near to old town

AustraliaUnfortunately there is a church next door to the hotel and I arrived Saturday afternoon. There were either live services/singing or taped services/singing happening from Saturday afternoon onwards - Very Loud!! I would have coped with a couple of hours but it went on and on. I had to ask the hotel staff to contact them to turn it down at 8pm at night. And then I slept OK. Again on Sunday morning from 0600. I had to sit the furthest away in the dining room to get some relief from the loudness during breakfast. It may be much quieter on week days/nights I ended up leaving after that one night....it was also not a nice area to walk by day - which although a solo traveller I like to do to get a feel for the place. But OK to get tuk tuk transport to the various sights which were not far away.
The staff were very helpful. The evening meal and breakfast I had were nice and a very generous size. When I asked about cancelling the second night, the manager was very polite and offered me a credit for a night in the future in lieu of a refund. The stay may have been very different if it wasn't a weekend but I didn't want to risk it. Plenty of tuk tuks around to get you to the sights which were not that far away.

BulgariaStaff was ignorant and not accommodating, the room they gave us is more like a sauna, and the receptionist was insistent that the standard rooms were without AC? What kind of business is that? Food and cleanliness beyond unimaginable, filthy place where the hygiene has no meaning! This place should be closed and never addressed of your site! I am a bit concern to book again with booking.com. On top of everything, I almost got electrocuted by touching the shower faucet! Absolutely scary place when it comes to safety!

KenyaFrom changing 3 rooms on check in day to almost losing my life due to electrocution that's how horrific my stay was at Bridge hotel Mombasa. On check in day the first room allocated lacked WiFi connectivity with an alternative network running at speeds of 2 mbps. Close proximity to a nearby church came with a lot of noise that evening as believers were in praise. I requested for a room move which was done. The second room WIFI was only better by 3 mbps 😐. 5 minutes inside the room & boom a lizard 🦎 on the wall and a cockroach crawling on the floor which I handled by myself so as not to be that complaining. Having beared all those I step in the bathroom to take a hot shower & to a terrififying experience it ended up being a cold shower with a spike of current passing through my hand and I hit the floor. (water heater switch is on and operated properly based on the room orientation given). A life close to being lost I couldn't entertain any more of that and requested for a manager and the info I got is that he/she already left but after about 40 minutes I received a man who said was the ass. manager to attend to my concerns. Sadly no concerns about my health like inquiring if I needed medical assistance. Another room move is done to a pre-checked room by staff only for me to find the shower drain wasn't effective as the bathroom became flooded with water. I endured that for the late night (11pm) only to be a victim of a disturbed night sleep early morning due to loud music from the congregation at the church service just 5 metres away from the hotel. In all the 3 rooms the water heater system is very unsafe with open and exposed wires which is a life threatening utility to the guests and even the staff themselves.
During check in Purity was informative to my queries about the town. Mr. Othiene the said ass. manager tried with in his limits to resolve the crisis I faced. I appreciated his efforts considering being a late night. The waitress from the restaurant was also helpful on giving me a menu orientation

UgandaInternet was off and on and one has to log on. Probably it is a security measure employed. But it was good. One would access it
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant team was very good. Food was well prepared and timely when ordered.. The room was clean and it has all that is needed with a spacious bed and chairs and table for putting food to eat. It had a table and chair for reading which was very good for me.
