Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CambodiaSome insects living the area may make noise in the late evening.
The property displays an experience living in the village. The plants complement well with the overall appearance of the place. The room is quiet and the toilet has natural lighting during the day.

GermanyLocation is at a certain distance to the town. This is in a way made up by the relatively short way to Angkor Wat.
Very atmospheric and friendly place. The cosy little huts you stay in offer spacious bathrooms and big fridges. The kitchen offers a great variety of regional meals at reasonable prices. On our late arrival it was already closed but we were offered neatly arranged sliced fruit, as the staff in general was extremely friendly and eager to make your stay comfortable. They organised three private tours to the temples and sights for us with a superbly informed guide, who showed us the beaten hot spots as well as his own „hidden“ places inside the vast area.

This is possibly one of the closest properties to Angkor Wat, so thats definitely great. Plus they offer decently prized tours also. It’s about 10-15 minutes away from the centre, but the hotel organised all tuk tuks for us every time, so we literally had no problem. The room is pretty basic (washroom is clean and well lit) but it works if you are looking for something rustic/non touristy. However, the BEST thing about this place is its ever smiling, helpful staff. I will always remember them as the highlight of my stay.

RomaniaHard bed; the distance from the NEW airport is around 55 km - only options of transfer are with a car provided by the hotel or taxi.
Great location - close to Angkor by tuk-tuk or bycicle(aproximately 10 minutes); a lot of vegetation surrounding the hut and the pool area; good food and friendly staff; nice experience in the bamboo hut.

VietnamIt is located outside the city centre which makes it hard (or not advised) to walk back in the evening as there are no public lights around there. Plenty of Tuk-Tuk of course to remedy to this problem!
Pancakes with (excellent) fruits is a fresh and very good start in the morning. Order in advance to have it quickly! There are some hammocks near the swimming pool which are welcome. The staff is very helpful.

We loved this place. Little cabins set in beautifully kept grounds with lots of frogs around. A few little dogs too! The pool was really nice - big and deep enough for a proper swim. We loved the location away from Siem Reap town on the road to Angkor Wat. Staff were kind and friendly.

ChinaHighly recommended: Palm Village was everything I needed, an excellent base for visiting the temples, and excellent cuisine for dinner. I don’t think you could eat better anywhere else; the cooking was perfect, with quite a large range of choices on the menu, very healthy. The staff are very hospitable and helpful; they can help you out with local information and services. I mostly used a bike they arranged for me, but they will also have a tuktuk waiting at the front door for you whenever you need it. There’s a lot more positives, besides: This is an oasis of peace in a peaceful area - a local neighbourhood (very nice not to be downtown) - which is nearer to the main temple area, anyway, so you can really unwind, and catch up on sleep. The swimming pool is perfect, too, a great place to relax and swim, with plenty of shade if you need it. The gardens are well-kept with a large variety of plants and trees, and there are hammocks to try as well. My room and bathroom were clean and everything worked well - a/c and fan, fridge, etc. The bathroom was well-done, like new. Overall, I think of Palm Village as another well-kept secret, a unique experience. I’m so glad I chose it. Being in need of a rest, a real break, it was a blessing. I will definitely stay there again if I take another trip to Angkor.

United States of AmericaI saw a small lizard roaming around in my room. I was scared it might get in my luggage. Room was not serviced daily. It was left as we left- bathroom not cleaned, towels not replaced. I had to manually go and request. I didn’t eat here as the menu was not impressive and I found better food at Pub Street which is a $3 tuk tuk ride
Pool was good, it was in a quiet area, staff was friendly and non interfering
