I live in there for three nights.The location is only a 10-minute walk from the main road .The host is very nice and welcoming. He prepared bottle water, coconut and watermelon for me every day and introduced me the places to rent bikes. This is the good place to stay in Weligama

We LOVED our stay here. The room was amazing and such good value for money. The kitchen was also great and well equipped! The host was soo lovely and welcoming and he made up breakfast every morning. He even went to the shops to buy us milk and eggs without us asking as he could see the empty boxes outside the room. 10/10 recommend🔥

The room was lovely, big comfortable bed, good showed and kitchenette. The villa was in a great location, close by to the beach and restaurants but not right next to the busy streets. Our host was so great, very accommodating and always there to help. Made us a great breakfast and was very friendly!

I had a very good time here. Mr. Sisira is super friendly and helpful and was always in a good mood. He did my laundry for free and brought me water and something to eat every day. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was large and had hot water. I only wanted to stay 4 days but ended up staying 9 because I felt very comfortable. Thank you very much for everything!

The location and the ambience were really great. The incredibly nice owner, who provided us with coconuts, fruit, hoppers and water, rounded off the greatness of the accommodation. We'd be happy to stay here again and highly recommend it!

Without a doubt the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka! Fantastic and friendly hosting with a huge breakfast + extras served every day (you will not go hungry here). The accommodation is only a stones throw from the beach yet far away from the hustle of the main road running through weligama. If you enjoy watching wildlife I would suggest booking a room with a river view balcony to see many birds at sunrise/sunset. I really cannot recommend this place enough!

If you go to Weligama: STAY HERE If this could get 6/5 stars, it would!!! We have been traveling for 1 month i Sri Lanka, and this has been the most perfect stay for us for so many reasons: (We stayed in a room on the first floor) Location: just 10 min walk to the beach! Perfect! AND has a very nice view of the river and a nice terrace Room was nice, good AC, comfortable beds (good pillows for once!) and we LOVED that there was a kitchen (equipped with everything we needed) The WiFi is also really good! And the service. Wow. This man is the kindest person in Weligama. With his generosity and flexibility we had the most amazing stay, and I can’t thank enough for that! Him (and his lovely daughter) made sure we had a number to contact him anytime with any needs. The food was so good, and honestly a 11/10 stay. Thank you!!

Road a bit noisy

It was a short walk to the beach but not in the thick of the bright lights. Easy access to the town and plenty of restaurants. Recommend Fish point amazing seafood.

Where to start? I was a bit hesitant when I booked this place, because the reviews seemed too good to be true, but they are not. This place is wonderful. Our host was an incredibly kind natured man, never stopped smiling, worked hard all day to keep his guests happy. I stayed with my boyfriend for a month, in the none AC Room. He’s from Quebec and he can’t cope with being too hot, but he was fine.. there are two powerful fans that do a great job. There is a kitchen, huge fridge, we ate at home every night which was a luxury after months of travel. The bed! The bed is the best bed I’ve slept in for over a year I’m not kidding. It’s huge and comfy and I felt like a queen. The place is on a quieter road near to the beach and the supermarket, 1 minute from a convenience store. The view from the balcony and garden of the river is so beautiful. I would love to thank our new friend, our amazing host for taking care of us for a month and making us feel like family. Everyday he surprises us with fruits and Sri Lankan delicious breakfasts, bottles of water.. coconuts when we were hot in the afternoon. Thankyou with all my heart. We are so grateful to find your place.. after I spent many years returning to Sri Lanka, this is my favoriye accommodation by far. See you next year!!

We stayed here for 7 nights and it was the perfect place! Extremely close to the beach and lots of restaurants but off the main busy road. The room had lots of kitchen amenities (fridge,gas cooktop, kettle) and we always had hot water for a shower. Sisira, the host, unexpectedly provided sri lankan breakfast, fruits and water bottles every day. He was an amazing host and I would 100% stay here again! Incredible value for money. I also recommend a balcony room to watch the river, especially for sunset!

Sisira gave us incredible hospitality, and looked after us so well. We got breakfast every morning, full of fruit and traditional sri lankan curry, and egg. And one day when we had breakfast out, he cooked us dinner instead! Him and his daughter are kind and welcoming, really making you feel like you’re at home - so much that we extended our stay. Bikes free to rent, laundry no charges too. Two fans in room for non-AC one was plenty, fridge so we could keep snacks/juice in, huge bathroom, kettle. Plus location is lovely, a short 5 min walk from supermarket/beach/restaurants and more peaceful and felt less touristy. 100% reccomend booking your stay here if you are staying in Weligama.

Trust me, nothing to say !

Our host was the nicest person on this incredible island. Every day, he surprised us by little attentions as fruit, breakfast, laundry services, etc. The place is well located but it’s better to rent a scooter and feel free. Really, it’s a secret place, closed to everything but away from noisy center ! Tips: don’t forget to spend time on the balcony, nature is living there ! We saw crocodile, monkeys…
