The access to the resort was a major turn off unfortunately as much as we liked the place the road to get there is atrocious - bumpy, potholed, twisty, narrow, and well over an hour and half like this. Our very experienced driver was fine and got us there ok but ideally need a 4x4 or better still find a helicopter to get there! Also, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. You can access internet only at the dining hall.

Breathtaking location, well worth going out the way to visit here. we felt like we'd arrived in paradise which I don't say lightly, it was like nothing we'd ever seen before. The views are incredible, the facilities are luxurious and relaxing, the restaurant serves food to a very high standard and the staff were incredibly accommodating. There's a wide range of activities which you can do at the lodge, from cooking courses through to hikes and some self-care (full spa treatments). The staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs specially the meals as my wife and me are vegetarians. We'd come back to Sri Lanka just to visit the resort again.

The property is gorgeous, the views from the room truly beautiful, the room decor just lovely. The pool and gardens superb. Very friendly and serviceable staff. I wish I could have stayed longer, and no doubt that under sunny weather, it must feel like the perfect place.

The road up to the lodge is in bad shape - we felt terrible for our driver’s new car. It is pretty unbelievable that they assume you can drive there without problems. They should arrange a car area on the bottom of the hill and come to pick you up. Our driver was not happy, and we felt sorry for him. Note that once up there you cannot really leave ( which you don’t want to anyways because it is the most beautiful place) The pool filter is very loud.

Location is incredible. Staff is so friendly. Got the honeymoon suite for half the price of the website, therefore great value for money. The tent was a dream and we are so happy that we spent one night there. One thing that could have even further improved our stay: a bootle of bubbles in the minibar fridge - we would have bought it :)

The most incredible view and decor you could ask for, absolutely dream-like in every way! The most exquisite taste set in front of the most beautiful view, surrounded by tea plantations. One and a half hour drive from Kandy, the road up the mountain is in bad shape. If you easily get carsick, it could be challenging.

Unique experience with an amazing view. Very special to live in a exclusive tent in a tea lodge! Strongly recommend.

If you are driving there by yourself, be aware that the road is a nightmare! Maybe it is easier with a 4x4, but we drove a tuk tuk and it wasn't fun at all.

If you make it to this marvelous location, be ready to be amazed. Feels like you are the king and queen of the world. The services are outstanding, we had a little issue the first night and the hotel turned it around to one of the best experiences we ever had. Highly recommended. The only thing would say is getting to the place is difficult due to the rough narrow roads. Make sure get through via a 4x4 or a jeep for a smooth drive.

This place was beautiful. The lodges were perfectly clean and lovely. The views from this lodges are perfect. The food was delicious and the team were very accomodating with our halal food preference. The best thing about this place is the very kind and lovely staff. We had the best hospitality particularly from staff member Visha. He was constantly friendly and always making sure we were looked after. It made our stay perfect. Highly recommend a stay at the beautiful Madulkelle honeymoon suite 😊

Pathway in is difficult to drive up: no warning of this: our driver bumped his van: He was also not allowed to join us for breakfast upon our request. We didn’t like this. If we request it, it should be honoured.

Road to the place is very bumpy and uncomfortable. If you have back pain you may have some issues. The pool could be cleaned as the bottom was a bit grimey. If your planning to visit kandy- its a bit far from the city so i would suggest staying in kandy do the sight seeing then book into this hotel for a few days as once your there its effort to get back to the main city.

Can not find a single thing to share!

Literally everything about the place is on spot, starting with the great location were you will realise later that every view your eyes will catch is a breathtaking.. all day every day!! (All weather conditions were pleasant, rainy or sunny) As for the service can’t complain at all.. beginning with a friendly warm hospitality to the daily chef meals follow up, also every single request has been taken care of so again can’t complain.

It is 30km from Kandy so once there, travellers should keep in mind you’re not going to duck into town. Once on the plantatin, you’re probably not going anywhere else (tours aside) until you leave. Not a hardship thoguh as it’s a beautiful spot.

Great location with awesome views. Staff are all super polite and friendly. A lovely guide on hand for local hikes and an insight into village life. Great chef for a cooking demonstration. Helpful with our early departure providing a picnic breakfast.

it’s not really easy to reach (so take it into account when booking a driver), but it’s the price to pay for the magnificent views. so really nothing to dislike.

A true paradise with amazing views all the time (especially from the tent and infinity pool). Very very friendly and helpful staff (the front office speaks very well English). The food was amazing as well! They can organise lots of activities for you but just relaxing at the property is already great! Yes, it’s a bit pricey for Sri Lanka but it’s also an excellent experience.
