Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Although the room was located by the road, the traffic was not disturbing. There is a market in front of the house, a cafe serving breakfast nearby, and a beach. It is convenient to travel by train to the center of Jurmala or Riga. The rooms are large enough and comfortable for the whole family. If you miss something extra, then a parasol to take to the beach :)

The railroad was very close so you can hear trains (if you’re a light sleeper that’s a problem).
Apartment was clean and comfortable, you can find anything you may need (dishes, soap, towels etc..)

The only thing was not ok - the bed! It’s not that comfortable and every move in it made noises all the time
Very clean and nice apartments. Even tho the train line is near, it didn’t disturb.

Two things that we did not like was that mattresses were worn out. I was lying almost on the metal (it was so much worn out, that it was really hard to sleep on it. I am travelling a lot for work and I stay in different hotels during my travels, I know what it means when you sleep on hard mattress but I am not too much demanding to such things, but in our case even for me it was too much worn out and it actually had to be changed. My wife slept in kids room on the couch as it was much better for her there. Another problem that I see is the building quality. we lived on the ground floor. another company of people was living above us. They were quite loudly celebrating and we have heard lots of sounds coming from their celebrations. They finished their cheering, moving chairs around the table, at 2 AM, then they started moving from bedroom to toilet and stopped this at 3 AM. Probably this was our bad luck that such a loud company was living above us, but we could not enjoy the silence during sleeping time...
The place was almost in the heart of Jurmala, it was easy to find, a good parking place. Apartment was clean and spacious with all the things needed for the stay.

It would be much appreciated to have coffee or tea for few days , so you don’t need to buy.
Definitely the location is perfect, very close to the beach. There are also grocery amenities and nice restaurants nearby. The trains can be a bit disturbing if you pay attention.

The train stop is really near and usually every 20 minutes you hear the train passing by. But ir stops something around midnight and starts over again at 6 in the morning. If you are very sensitive to noise, this would be not perfect, but even our child could nap during the day and sleep calmly during the night.
Apartments are very spacy, clean, modern and bright. The large double bed was large enough for our child to sleep with us like he used to. We found everything we needed for our stay, we had opportunity to cook our own meal, we enjoyed our dinner at the rooftop terrace.

The furniture on the terrace is worn out, the terrace could have used a cleaning, because there were broken glass on the stone and the furniture was dusty.
The beach was close by, 5 minutes walk.
