Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceFlimsy internet access in my room. But I think it was my internet provider Orange as I had problems with the 4G too.
Fatima was very responsive to my emails prior to my arrival. She arranged for a taxi to pick me up at the airport. The Dar is situated right at the heart of the medina. Fatima's husband welcomed me at the entrance/gate of the medina where the taxi dropped me off. He also walked me there to wait for the taxi to the airport. I ate all my meals at the Dar. The portions were very generous for 1 person so I would generally eat my meal in 2 seats (lunch and dinner). The room was comfortable and was equipped with an air conditioner. I had a lovely time doing the cooking class on the roof with Fatima and her grandmother. Fatima's husband gave me good recommendations regarding places to visit, restaurants, the price range to expect when shopping, how to minimize scams- you can't avoid them completely. Fatima and her husband were very flexible and accommodating, they tried their best to arrange the activities around my preferred schedule.

United States of AmericaHosts Fatima and Radha are amazing people. Incredibly helpful. Radha met us at the taxi stand with a man and a cart for our luggage. He walked us through the windy alleys to the Dar. Fatima is a lovely person like her husband, and she helped direct us to a reputable rug seller, suggested restaurants to go to and things to see. They arranged for a tour guide which I would recommend. The Dar is a beautiful old world family home in the middle of the medina. The location is perfect! A couple of easy turns and you will be on one of the two main streets. It's easy to find your way back day or night. The bedroom was very comfortable, with high ceilings and tile details. Excellent breakfast! The rooftop deck had nice views! Fatima hosts cooking classes there and it could not have been better. Fatima's Grandmother cooked a delicious authentic Moroccan dinner for us on our first night. Overall, I would recommend Dar Settash for many reasons, but mostly because of Fatima and Radha.

BelgiumNothing.
Great location, in the center of the medina. The hosts are very helpful and give you a lot of advice what to visit and how to visit. The first night I had very bad wifi connection, but that was quickly taken care of. The breakfast is royal, just as the view from the terrace. I really can recommend this place to everyone.

Great location, walking distance to everything you need. The breakfast was excellent! So much variety - something for everyone for sure - both sweet and salty with freshly prepared fruit salads, tea, coffee, juices, different types of breads and pancakes, etc. The staff were all super friendly and very helpful providing tips and recommendations around the city. Nice rooftop for an evening chill with a book and a tea. The riad is also located on a small side street so away from the medina noise.

United KingdomOur room had steep stairs up to the bathroom. No problem for us but something to be aware of if you had any mobility issues. Breakfast was massive and tasty but perhaps could do with a little more variation or lighter options.
Great location in the Medina. Beautiful building and great view from the roof. The room was very comfortable and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.

NetherlandsThe only downside is that you hear other guests leaving in the morning, as the room is not fully isolated. But that was not a problem for us. All guests have that same experience and everyone behaved quiet in the mornings and late evenings.
Kind and extremely helpful owners. They gave many tips for where to go and to eat. We had a late check-in and early check-out and this was no problem at all. They organised a private taxi from and to the airport for a good fixed price. Very professional and polite driver. The room itself was large and beautiful in the old riad-style. It had a comfortable bed and decent shower and bath. There is also a good and quiet air-conditioning in the room. A big(!) Moroccan breakfast was served every morning, including coffee, mint tea and fresh juices. The riad itself is located in a small quiet street in the middle of the medina. At night it was very quiet. We had 4 wonderful days and nights!

United States of AmericaEverything was great!
This place felt like a palace, with its beautiful architecture, but at the same time it is as cozy as a home. Everyone was so kind and took care of all my concerns, including pickup and drop-off. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful. Thank goodness for the laundry service because I really needed it. The location is perfect, right in the medina and walking distance to basically everything. Also, the view from the rooftop is amazing.

United KingdomNothing at all!
Reda is the best host you could expect in your trip to Morocco. His kindness and hospitality were the best we received in our 10 days road trip. The Riad is very well located in the Medina, a few steps from the Main Street and the taxi stop. Reda arranged for us private transfer to and from the airport with very comfortable cars. We arrived late at night and were accompanied directly to the Riad with a short walk. We had excellent breakfast every morning (which mint tea was the best we have ever tried), delicious dinner with dishes you will never find in the restaurants, and take away lunch that was much appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view over the Medina from the rooftop was very relaxing. Thank you Reda, you are really the best!

MexicoThere were some noisy families staying with us at the same time and as the walls are very thin, we had not so lovely wake-up alarm.
This Riad simply exceeded our expactations. Gorgeous riad and very clean room with everything you need. Spacious bathroom, good water pressure and lots of warm water. But what did impress us the most was the welcoming staff. Fatima is simply one of the most kind-hearted people we have met and the lady (sorry for forgetting the name) in charge of the breakfast and welcoming tea was so kind and sweet. Also the guy in the reception gave us so good tips and was super helpful. We have travelled all around the world and this type of hospitality is one of a kind. The cherry on the top of the cake: we had to leave in rush and without asking, they prepared us a takeaway breakfast. If we go back to Fes someday, this will be the place to be.
