Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThat we didn’t stay for longer
We absolutely loved our stay at le palais Averroes, a home from home, we were made to feel so welcome and looked after massively by the beautiful staff! Spa was fabulous, room had everything we needed and was cleaned every day, Moroccan breakfast was new to us but we loved it. Pool was clean and very refreshing in the heat. Hotel is only small so feels like your own place. This hotel is slightly out of the centre but we preferred that it was more quiet and chilled and despite hotel being slightly out of the centre we had no issues getting taxis and tours (via get your guide only 1 tour didnt allow pick up from the hotel but this was quickly resolved when we spoke to our tour guide prior to pick up. We miss you already Hicham, Ikram and Hamza Lots of love Amy and Martina Salam yala! Shkran

United KingdomNothing we did not like!
Completely unique, modern and fresh yet traditionally Moroccan style - a very special place. Where to begin…the character, charm, fruit trees, incredible gardens, perfect swimming pool, options of where to eat, comfy places to read, a roof terrace…this riad has everything for the most restorative trip!

FinlandI really enjoyed the out-of-town location of this small hotel. Of course, we needed a taxi when we wanted to go to anywhere downtown but Soufian - our taxi driver for the whole week - never failed us. It was very quiet - but it was also Ramadan. (The rooftop restaurant, for example, was closed).

GibraltarLong waits for taxis as hotel is in the outskirt - definitely would recommend to arrange a taxi at least 1 hour before you plan to set off!
Over all a great stay! We would all like to thank Jawad specifically! Jawad was around the hotel from early morning to serve us breakfast to late at night to welcome us back to the hotel after our dinner in the centre. No matter how busy he was, he was extremely helpful in anything we needed and he was always doing so with a smile on his face!

United KingdomThe taxi drivers can be very shady - be careful of them. This was the most difficult part of our trip. They may try to overcharge you. They will also try to do multiple trips and charge multiple times - something which in the UK is frowned upon. Two cases we paid full price and saw the taxi driver charge French speakers less than us for the same trip. In the end we used indrive app to get around as the prices are fair and fixed. This is an issue with taxi drivers in marrakech, however we didn’t find the taxi drivers to be honest compared to the indrive drivers. Be careful and always ask for a fixed price before travelling.
This place is absolute perfection. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, thanks to the staff for being so welcoming and friendly. The location is around 15 minutes from the centre - so it is an ideal place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Taxis can be arranged via the staff for wherever you’d like to go. The food was amazing, the breakfasts and lunches are so tasty. We didn’t eat for evening meal but we heard from other guests this was great too. I am unsure the names of the staff unfortunately, but they were all great with us, in particular the gentleman who served us each day at breakfast - always a smile on his face and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all for an amazing stay!

SwitzerlandIf you are planning any trips with travel agencies, this hotel is outside of pick up zone, we were asked the 2x to come to Cafe de France in Medina. Extra 20-30min, and money.
Great place, comfi rooms and beds, super helpful staff, small so it does not get crowded (only 8 rooms), delicious breakfast and food.

United Kingdomlittle annoying having to go back and forth with the taxi but only about 15-20 minutes to most places so not too bad and only 15 minutes from the airport
The staff were just fantastic! Super caring, always going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. Lending us there own personal jackets when we forgot to bring something warm for our dessert adventure night. Super clean and spacious Morrocan themed bedrooms. Great hot water, good hair dryer. daily changing of fresh towels. The pool and everything is just perfect. It honestly looks better than in the photos which was a pleasant surprise. It’s very safe with someone constantly around the property at night time. We didn’t get to try the spa however we saw the facilities and they looked very clean and relaxing. Wish we had the time to try it. Would absolutely recommend doing this hotel to get the true authentic Moroccan experience but in a more relaxed setting. It’s about 15 to 20 minutes max to the main medina area. The hospitality in this hotel is just exceptional and I highly recommend it. Theres also 2 very sweet cats and 4 kittens around the property that are adorable!

United KingdomOur stay in Marrakech was made truly unforgettable thanks to Jawad’s incredible hospitality and attention to detail. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, making us feel at home right away. Jawad went above and beyond in ensuring our comfort, providing us with insightful recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and hidden gems throughout the city. His deep knowledge of Marrakech and its culture enriched our experience and allowed us to explore the city in a way we never would have been able to on our own. The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully situated, providing the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. Jawad’s personal touch was evident in every aspect of our stay, from his prompt responses to any questions we had, to the thoughtful gestures that made us feel truly special.

United Kingdom1. The pool is nice to look at but isn't heated so was freezing when we stayed for NYE Dec / Jan which was disappointing. 2. The poolside food & drinks menu is on the pricier side for Marrakech but you don't have any other options nearby so I can see why they charge what they can. 3. Boutique Hotels of this standard should provide white bathrobes & slippers in the room as standard but there weren't any. 4. Room Tea & Coffee - basic cheap Nescafe sachets, for a boutique hotel should be providing a higher quality coffee or a capsule machine and a selection of premium range herbal teas. The difference between a 3* & 4* establishment is all in the details so they'd do well to make these small tweaks to elevate the overall experience.
The authentic decor & style, the staff were nice, all male, offered to help with Taxis to the centre, the guy that serves you breakfast & at the pool Ibrahim was lovely albeit English not too good. Offered traditional mint tea on arrival with Petit Fours while we waited for our room to be ready. The rooms were small but nicely decorated, authentic, comfy big bed, ambience was calm & tranquil, boutique style only 10 rooms I think. The shower was lovely, really hot & powerful, a daily joy! The food menu was a nice selection of salads, fried pastries, various veggie & meat tagines which were delicious! The poulet citron & the beef Tagine were scrumpy! Slightly limited menu if you're eating there everyday for 5 days. Morning breakfast was authentic, freshly made & plentiful served with a smile from Ibrahim.
