Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly thing i didn’t like is the location. It’s not safe if you walk after 10pm from Jemaa el-Finaa to the riad. Most of the day local people followed me and harassed me for money outside riads road. NB: if they see you following map in your phone they mostly mislead you to say the road is closed and show you another way and then ask for money. Be careful if you walk at night. I prefer taxi to riad.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience staying there for a week. The room was well maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff were exceptional, extremely courteous and helpful which left a lasting impression on me. I appreciated the sense of freedom I had during my stay, and I truly felt as comfortable as if I were at home. Thank you “Riad Awatif le 36” for all your support and made my holiday memorable.

United KingdomNot anything we didn’t like so to speak but just to be aware there are cats in the property (pet cats). We also only encountered one English speaking staff member, however we were able to use google translate which helped! This is not a negative about the property but more just to be aware of!
It was very clean, we felt very safe and all the staff were very friendly!

United KingdomThe only issue which brought this down from a 10/10 was issues with the taxi transfer. We waiting outside the airport for 30 minutes. Then on arrival in the city, the driver dropped us off as close as he could get the car and just said turn right, and we go terribly lost. Thankfully my eSIM worked and google maps got us there.
An absolutely beautiful base for our first visit to Morocco. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable beds and high quality bedding. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the cook and housekeeper, who cooked a delicious meal for us on arrival on the first night, as we had an evening flight arrival (was pre-ordered). Tasty breakfast and delicious tea and pastries during the afternoon when ordered. We were able to leave our luggage safely in the Riad when we checked out of our room on the final day and also allowed to use the roof terrace while waiting for our taxi. Good strong Wi-Fi throughout the property. Will definitely return.

The Riad is beautiful! Olivier and his team have it looking stylish and modern. Clean and elegant the property is placed in the heart of Marrakech and is excellent value for money. My stay included a delicious freshly prepared and traditional breakfast and the then luggage was able to be left while I explored the area

ItalyI highly recommend this Riad. It’s a newly renovated building, perfectly decorated and super clean. No noise from the outside. The bed is extremely comfortable and so were the pillows. Sheets were immaculate and fresh. Bathroom and shower was spacious, and it even had a window, which my not happen in other traditional buildings. No bad smells at all. Good breakfast. Nice hosts. Nice terrace.

We had a fantastic stay at this riad! Everything was spotless and brand new. The swimming pool and terrace were beautiful and perfect for relaxing. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful — they even offered us to stay on the terrace until 7 pm after checkout, which was much appreciated. Highly recommended!

NetherlandsIt’s a very stylish Riad, the location is great, the rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, the breakfast is very good and there is a great roof terrace with a small pool to relax. The owners Olivier and Julien (and their staff) go above and beyond to make sure the guest are feeling very welcome and comfortable in any way, even arranged a cooking class for us. Hope to come back one day!

NetherlandsWe very liked our stay at this Riad, owners were amazing friendly people which really made you feel welcome. The Riad was perfectly clean, good beds, great shower and we loved the breakfast. Riad is located very central in the Medina, nonetheless it was very quite inside. We would recommend to go here!

Oliver, Julian & Kamal, the owners and staff were absolutely amazing - they attended to all our needs, (be it helping with finding things and personally escorting us to locations, making phone calls for us, and much more). The venue was beautiful - the courtyard and breakfast area were lovely and the rooftop with pool and bar was great too. We can’t recommend this location enough. If you’re staying in Marrakesh, then the only place to be is Awatif 36 ❤️

Amazing place to stay. The location is absolutely perfect - right in the Medina and a very short walk to the markets and popular tourist attractions. The staff we so incredibly lovely and helpful. Oliver went out of his way to make sure we were okay, gave us great advice on what to eat and what to avoid to make sure we didn’t get ill. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed this on the first morning down by the pool and then up on the terrace which was beautiful too. Couldn’t recommend this enough. Amazing service and care - the owner Oliviaer was very friendly and made sure we had an amazing stay. The staff were extremely nice and friendly, especially Kamal- always suggesting where to explore and how to navigate around the city. Arranged pick and drop for airport as well which was cheaper and better service than getting a cab from the city. Was just walking distance away from the Medina and location is very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle.

Hungarythere truly wasn’t anything we disliked. Perhaps just a small note that finding the parking area (cca. 150 meters from riad) with a rental car can be a bit tricky, but the hosts are very helpful with this as well.”
We recently stayed at Riad Awatif le 36, and couldn’t be happier with our experience. I highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Marrakesh. The refined kindness, attentiveness, and helpfulness of the owner and the entire staff truly enhanced the atmosphere of our stay, making it feel special and welcoming. The rooftop is a fantastic spot to relax and unwind, offering a perfect retreat with lovely views. The riad’s architecture embodies the charm of traditional Moroccan design, with an elegant interior courtyard that includes a small pool and cozy social spaces. Enjoying breakfast on the rooftop or in the courtyard is a delightful way to start the day. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean, creating an ideal environment for restful relaxation and for exploring the Medina. Our complete satisfaction was evident as we chose to return to this wonderful riad after a trip to Agadir, making it our home in Marrakesh for the week.

United StatesThis was the worst hotel. Everything about it was horrible. Extremely dangerous area. We were attacked right outside the hotel. People pushed and grabbed us demanding money and threatened to hurt us if we didn’t give it to them. When we told the hotel manager, he just shrugged. We had to get our stuff and move to another hotel because it was so unsafe and they refused to refund us for our 3 night stay even though we didn’t spend one night there. Locals told us they don’t even go to that area because it’s so dangerous.

United Kingdom1-Location. Very difficult to find, didn’t even have property ID at front door (very strange - may not want to advertise!). 30 minute convoluted walk to main square, immediate local area very ethnic, Local taxi could not find on arrival. Very hard to locate even after 4 days - you need to invest in local SIM card with data and then rely on Google Maps.you can buy one locally with data for about 50MAD. 2- Access for couple. Only 1 key to room provided so access & egress for couple was awkward. Each room has 2 keys but 1 has to be retained for cleaning. 3- Shower room. Large shower tray was choked and filled up full when showering did not drain. Very, very poor, dim lighting & no mechanical ventilation - room steamed up and no proper place to dry towels. 4- Bedsit area. No mini fridge, safe was broken did not operate, no bin, tissues, water or any pleasantries, broken furniture, but comfy bed. No window view. 5- Breakfast. No choice same fare every day, coffee cold, tea was ok, no safe drinking water available even to fill up small bottle. 6- Staff. Personable and helpful but limited by lack of facilities and services available. 7- in our view not good value for money, poor location, disappointing services & backup. Will not return nor recommend for patrons who have reasonable expectations for basic standards & amenities.
Open rooftop floor with tiny pool. Not much else.
