I was ready to give this hotel a full 10/10 because everything about my stay was excellent — from the room comfort to the service. Unfortunately, my experience was soured at checkout when I was charged an extra $14 for an almond can from the minibar that already had its seal broken when I checked in. I never opened or consumed it, but the staff insisted on charging me anyway. It’s very disappointing, because small details like this really affect the overall impression. A hotel of this standard should double-check minibar items before a guest’s arrival and not make the guest pay for something they did not use. Without this issue, my rating would have been perfect

The air conditioning in the hotel breaks down suddenly, leaving the room hot, and sometimes it works, even in the villa, but it gets stuffy with the humidity. I been offered a different type of a room I started one night then I been reallocated with upgrade suite and it was just perfect 👌

More of an improvement than not liking - the rooms could be a little more luxurious, especially given this is a 5-star hotel - they were modern and functional, but could have done with a couple of additional touches. Also, we booked a partial sea-view and I don't think it was worth an uplift in the price, as it was barely a sea-view while also looking at the side lot of the hotel, which, while not unpleasant, didn't induce me to sit on the balcony. Ironically, our children had a pool and sea view, which was more attractive at a lower price - but we didn't spend any time in our room, so it wasn't a big factor - more a 'could be a little better'. Secondly, while the food was excellent in the main buffet restaurant of an evening, it was pricey and as such a lot of people staying didn't eat in there and went to other restaurants or outside the hotel - I think it was probably 10-15% overpriced, and if they lowered the price they would attract more people to it.

This hotel was great, especially for relaxing after touring Marrakesh and the Atlas Mountains. The layout of the hotel was well thought out, and the pool was large (with an additional heated pool available nearby), with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The Food at the hotel was fantastic. We ate in all 3 restaurants, each having it's own vibe. The main restaurant was a buffet in the evenings and the food was varied and excellent. The Spanish restaurant served excellent tapas and the beach bar/restaurant served good food with an excellent view of the beach. The breakfasts were also excellent. All credit to the new French chef and the brilliant staff. Over all, the facilities were excellent, including the gym and spa. Above all, it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that made this stay a great one.

Lovely private bedroom. Excellent housekeeping everyday. Totally clean. Wonderful swimming pools in beautiful, spotlessly clean surroundings. Amazing plants and landscaping. Comfortable beds and fresh towels everyday. Loved the private beach and the most comfortable sunbeds I've ever used. Buffet breakfast was great. Chose different food every day from a wonderful fresh selection. Patisserie to die for!

I loved the ambience and general aesthetics. Room was cozy, really clean and spacious. Room amenities were very convenient. Customer service was superb! Very warm and polite service providers! It was my birthday and they sang for me very sweetly and gave me some cake. Special thanks to Waime and Bader who went the extra mile to make my stay more pleasant.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Sofitel Agadir that we didn’t want to leave! The location is unbeatable, right on the beach, with beautiful facilities including a heated outdoor pool, beach and pool towels readily available, and a well-equipped gym with a coach on site. Breakfast every morning was a treat — such a wide variety of options to choose from, something for everyone. We especially loved the dining experiences: Le Corail serves delicious Spanish cuisine, and La Plage offers not only great food but also the most stunning view and relaxing ambiance. At one point, we tried to extend our stay but saw there was no availability online. We mentioned this to a staff member, and to our surprise, they brought the hotel director to speak with us personally. They managed to arrange the extension at the same rate — which we truly appreciated! What stood out the most was the service. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind, attentive, and always had a smile. Their hospitality really made us feel special. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to come back soon! Ps: Room 66

That said, I was a bit disappointed with the spa. I expected it to be more extensive in terms of facilities and offerings. Also, it’s a shame that teenagers aren’t allowed into the sauna or hammam — I understand the concern, but many kids know how to behave calmly and respectfully in such spaces. Lastly, while the overall experience was lovely, I do feel the price was slightly higher than the level of enjoyment delivered.

A fantastic new beachfront hotel! The beach is absolutely beautiful, the pools are great, and the Spanish restaurant is outstanding — one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Breakfasts were delicious and varied. Our room was stunning — stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I also really enjoyed the gym — spacious and well-equipped.

The staff were so helpful and friendly and made our stay really comfortable, the buffet breakfast was comprehensive and delicious. The hotel itself was so beautiful, I loved the aesthetic of the bar in particular but generally it was an absolutely stunning hotel that made our weekend getaway feel like a dream. We didn't get a pool/sea view room but woke up to a pleasant surprise when seeing the beautiful sand dunes outside of our room.
