Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandIncredible experience in the dunes! Very friendly & entertaining staff, tent is luxurious with a very large comfortable bed. Feels extravagant taking a hot shower in the middle of the Sahara. There's also a snowboard for sandboarding, We did 4x4 excursion around the desert , we visited Nomads Families, Gnawa music, Panorama view... Highly recommended!

CanadaIt was great experience in the desert, The tents are spacious and surprisingly clean. The staff is super friendly and kind. The dinner and the breakfast buffet are AMAZING! The camels are safe and nice to ride and they also offered us sand boarding which was very fun. Lots of equipment like tennis rackets and volleyball at the camp. All in all I can’t recommend this camp enough.

AustraliaWe cherished every single moment. The tent was incredibly cozy, and having a private bathroom really added to the comfort. The food was delicious, the people were genuinely friendly, and the whole atmosphere was so serene. If you're looking to experience the desert without giving up on comfort, this is definitely the spot to book!

United KingdomWe were truly blown away by how clean and thoughtfully designed the private tent was. Having a bathroom right there made everything feel so much more comfortable. The peacefulness of the desert, the warm hospitality from our hosts, and the stunning camp setup all combined to create an unforgettable experience. I would absolutely come back!

United StatesOur time at the camp in Merzouga was nothing short of enchanting. The private tent, complete with its own bathroom, was surprisingly clean and cozy—way beyond what we had anticipated for a spot in the heart of the desert! Everything fell into place beautifully: the warm welcome, delicious food, the breathtaking sunset over the dunes, and the tranquil night that followed. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind and relaxing Sahara adventure.

GuatemalaIt was a great camp in the dessert our hosts were very nice and accommodating. The best part is that it includes transport, though you can upgrade to go on a camel/quad if you desire. We really recommend this place and enjoyed our stay there. The camp is very nice surrounded by greenery and quiet because it's nestled between two dunes

PolandEverything was fine. The only one very small disadvantage was the fact we had to load the battery of our mobile phones in the common tent (we could plug in other devices we had in our separate tent, but not more than 12 V).
The Camp was not only cool, but had also - as the only one camp among these we've found in Merzouga - a truly honest offer with the whole price given while booking. There were no additional costs for bringing us to the camp from the parking (before booking a night in this Camp we had to decline 2 offers of other camps in Merzouga due to informing us after each booking of a night about the obligatory additional costs 120 EUR or 140 EUR for two of us to pick us up from the parking by camel or by car...). The food in the Camp was very good, the tent was very comfortable and clean. The guys working in the Camp were extremely nice and cooperative. After our arrival we had an extremely nice Maroccan tea celebration time on the dune during the sunset. After the delicious dinner we had also a great fire party with barber songs and instrumental music. Definitely a camp worth recommending! :)

GermanySandboarding is free but the boards are broken, could use a “new” (used is OK, but not like this), if you are u lucky the weather is windy and you don’t see much
There are 12 tents next to each other, however other camps are over the dunes so you don’t see them. Staff is very friendly, the food is good and if you want they offer all kinds of tours. Morning and evening are best for sunrise and sundown, during the day not much to do if you don’t book a tour. I’d recommend staying one night (you can check in early) and leave the next day late, make sure to get up early and view the sunrise. WiFi is slow if everybody is active but what do you expect in the desert

United KingdomWe will always cherish this adventure of the Sahara desert! Younes, who is really entertaining and laid-back, picked us up from our last lodging in Merzouga. Dinner was provided after a camel ride into the camp at dusk. He assisted in planning our subsequent transfer the following morning. It was exquisite and generous, and it was followed by music and dancing. Large tents, en suite bathrooms, electricity, wifi, and a great management team make the campsite a great place to stay.

United StatesWe had a dream night in the desert Everything was perfect! The camp is sublime and intimate (compared to other bigger ones we've seen), dinner and breakfast is excellent! The tent is spacious, clean and the bathroom/shower was top notch! We were able to go back and forth by camel, sandboarding and in the evening musicians played beautiful music around a fire! An amazing experience to have! Thanks!!

SpainNothing it is a fraud. You arrived to the address stated in the post and it is not the hotel you booked, has a different name and then they send you a message asking you to wait there “someone will pick you up”. The take you to the new address and it is not the hotel! They offered a “new hotel” in the centre but we just didn’t believed any word they said. No money was reimbursed and booking didn’t do anything about it.
