You do need a car to stay here but the local beach is really great and not very far!

We had a lovely stay here - the rooms were extremely spacious and well equipped. The hosts were helpful and attentive. The view of the sea was stunning. We didn't use the pool but it was large and clean and nice to have it available.

Well the streets are very very narrow and steep. And the nights are warm - no problem for our friends who are used to warm summers, but for us it was a bit unpleasant. For whatever reason, we didn't want to turn on the a/c, so we used the fan. The room overlooking the garden has a lovely cool breeze so they needed neither a/c nor fan. The room overlooking the front yard got very hot and stuffy but it has no mosquito nets. So the mosquitoes ate us alive. I hate mosquitoes.

Our appartment was huge and beautifully furnished. The highlight were for me the round windows with the amazing view of the bay. Just glorious! The garden is very family oriented, with a great assortment of toys - sand toys, cars, chalk, and even a huge rock with a rope that our little monkeys loved to climb. There were two pools as well, of which we used only the children's one. The big table under the oak was the highlight for my husband. We ate our meals there wirh our friends who also stayed at Pataki. The owners are a lovely elderly pair and they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We arrived much much later than we wanted, but the check in went very smoothly, even at 11PM, in what felt like the dead of night. That is also another thing we loved - it was sooo quiet and so peaceful! Also there are cats.

Beautiful place, very good standard of rooms, waterpool, grill, nice hosts, playground for children. Highly reccomend especially for families with young children.

It is far from the beach. Very high on the hill. The slope is very steep. Bad chemical smell all 3 days in the bedroom. No windows in the bedroom. Many cats on the territory which are jump on the dining table. Kattle is broken. Two swimming pools are closed most of the time. Well, nothing terrible, but we had a feeling to escape.

We travel a lot, but have never experienced something like we did in Pataki guesthouse! The lady owner was unpleasant, unwelcoming and unacceptable as a host. She told us off 3 times on the day of our arrival for absolutely no reason. First she explained the rules for using pools, which was taken on board. Then she kept telling us - mainly the children - to wash our feet before entering the pool, which we have been doing. We tried to explain, but she didn’t understand any English. She told us off for using a small ball in the pool, she grabbed by 3 years old daughter's bucket when she tried to take some water from the pool to play. She was so unpleasant talking angrily in her own language. She was there all the time overlooking the pools and changing water to was feet every 30 minutes! The other time the man owner, who tried to be more flexible and accommodating, was overlooking the pools. He asked our teenage son to tie his hair when in the pool! The other day we got up and both pools were covered. I asked if it was possible to use it. The lady owner said in her own language that the weather was bad! It was cloudy but dry and over 30 degrees Celsius. Her husband eventually allowed our son to use the pool, but he had to wait for quite a while. We couldn’t stand their attitudes, especially the lady, so we spent our days out of this place. I was so angry and disappointed. It ruined our holiday. I think those people are in the wrong business! The whole place is full of rules and instructions for guests: about using the pool, CCTV in operation, and the laminated lists of rules in the apartment - including the detailed list of items and how much you have to pay if you break any!! I am attaching pictures if you don't believe!

It was difficult to enjoy due to owners attitude. Well maintained place, but "best not use anything" impression given by the owners throughout our stay. The views were lovely. The location was fine, apart from the steep hill leading up to the property. Apartment decor was pleasant. Kids enjoyed playing with cats. We got welcome drinks and food on our arrival, later we were given home made fish with vegetables and a free bottle of wine, which was very kind.

Hard to say. All was good.

The view is absolutely amazing as you are at the top of the mountain. The yard in front with benches is very cosy. Comfy beds, quiet and clean.
