Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Japan・The hostel does put effort in keeping the hostel comfortable, especially at late night (I was told be more mindful of noise from my footsteps when going downstairs by the front desk agent), which I really appreciate. However, the sound insulation of the room isn't really that good. The slamming noise of doors from room next to mine could easily be heard. ・Only liquid hand soap provided at the bathroom (stayed at single room). No toothpaste, toothbrush, bath soap, and shampoo. ・Curtain doesn't close completely (stayed at single room on the top floor). Luckily I could get binder clip as solution with some help from the kind guy at front desk. ・Like the other review here says, sometimes I could smell a bit unpleasant smell from the bathroom. Not too strong, but could be annoying enough for people who are sensitive.
・Very friendly and super helpful front desk staff (especially the lean guy with beard and wearing glasses). He didn't seem annoyed at all with lots of questions I asked as a first time visitor to Mongolia (which I imagined staff members of a budget friendly friendly accommodation tend to be) and answered all my question in very polite and kind manner. ・For its price range, this hostel provides a very decent breakfast. ・Room cleaning service available.

Great location for all of your needs with very pleasant, helpful staff. The ladies who clean the rooms are very good and you get new linens every two days. Breakfast is included every day. You can leave a bag there to come back to. Wifi is excellent. Showers have plenty of hot water and a Lot of pressure.

United StatesPlace can be considered on the far edge of downtown. Personally I don't mind at all as I walk everywhere, count about 30min walk to the main square. For me that was a plus actually, as it probably makes it more quiet. Walls are paper thin and conversations echo thru the stairway and the courtyard. So you will hear noise throughout the day and until fairly late, but for the nights I was in, again after 11pm it was quiet thru 7am.
Fantastic staff. Helped me A TON as a solo traveler with booking excursions and travel thru the country. Chinba in particular is an absolute gem of a man, who speaks perfect English and will go to great lengths to find solutions with you. I booked a private room which was very comfortable for the price, with a private bath. Bed was on the hard side which is great for me. Super clean. Good breakfast. Good mix of hostel vibes without the occasional rowdy part. Guests are respectful and the place is quiet after 11pm. I'm doing multiple stays at Danista during my trip, as UB is the central hub to do most trips from. They can store stuff for you in between trip legs. Highly recommended!

SingaporeThe room was very clean and cozy, I really liked it.. and the bed was very comfortable. They provided breakfast which is really great, and they also provide water, coffee and tea in the pantries. Amgaa and the rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful and they are there round the clock. The location is very good for me and there is also a convenience store nearby. Overall I had a very enjoyable stay, thank you so much Amgaa and the Danista staff:)

New ZealandThere's not too much choice in the meal provided for breakfast, but the fact that breakfast is provided at all is great and I didn't see this detracted from the overall excellent value of this hostel.
My single room was clean, tidy and very nicely appointed with a generous double bed, table and chair, and shelves for my clothes. The shower was excellent, with great hot water and water pressure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Danista Nomads to others.

HungaryThe only thing I could critizise is that sometimes the bathroom smells weird. I think its a common problem in Mongolia because you know you can also not throw paper in the toilet (pipes are very narrow)
Cheap private room, good Wifi. You get breakfast. Receptionist is very nice. Good location even if its not in the city centre.

United KingdomThe approach drive in is a bit dirty with a lot of rubbish lying about but the hostel itself has a gate.
Clean and comfortable with helpful staff in good location within walking distance of the main square and all the places we wanted to visit. Very East to arrange airport transfers and a day trip out of the city.
