Nothing - I would recommend anyone to stay here!

The owner was the absolut best part of our stay here. He helped us organise all our tours, driver and car, camping equipment… and all for a fair price and possible on a short notice (we arrived and left two days later with nothing pre-planned). You could ask him anything and his English is really good, so it was easy to tailor the trips to our needs. I really couldn’t speak more highly of this place! The rooms themselves were good, with comfy beds and clean bathrooms, but the real highlight was being able to rely on the help from the owner to organise an amazing trip through Mongolia!

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location, there are heaps of eating choices within minutes, my favorite was directly opposite the road that the hotel is on, delicious local food (added a photo of the restaurant) Not too far to walk to the center and the GANDANTEGCHENLING temple. A lot of small supermarkets close as well. The staff are excellent, 5-star service.

The shower drain was plugged and filled with water very quickly.

Our room was on the top floor - not a problem for my friend and I, but I imagine if you have mobility problems that might be an issue. Other than that, above average for UB hotels.

The guy running this place was incredible. He's very attentive, always seems to be on duty, and is very responsive over e-mail. I texted about an airport pickup while getting off the plane and there was someone waiting for my friend and I on the other side of customs. When we had to leave early in the morning, he packed a to-go breakfast for us. He arranged our cab to the airport with another guest to reduce the price. We stored our luggage behind the desk for nearly two weeks while traveling the country with no issues. Safe neighborhood, good price, not a western chain hotel, but perfect for what it advertised.

Breakfast was fine for me but I always eat very little - for others it might be not enough. Some rooms might be a bit noisy and too small but again - one should manage their expectations when paying such prices!

Absolutely loved it! Considering the price, the hotel is beyond everything. The stuff is exceptionally friendly and is always there to help. The location is fine but it takes 15-20 mins walking to the city centre. The hotel is very clean and has a common kitchen for everyone to use. An extra point from me goes to a sweet kitty, living next door :)

- 12 bed dorm was at a very quiet time of year, so 1 shower wasn't a problem - 2km from UB main square: best to walk due to heavy traffic (and the walk is a great way to take different small streets etc and see so much more)

- nice simple breakfast provided each day, with some varieties - staff are always helpful with info and assisting with bookings etc (especially given that mongolian is so different to western languages) - very thoughtful to provide a small breakfast pack when having to depart very early - with loud UB traffic, the guesthouse is 100metres down a small lane away from the loud bustle

Jagaa and his staff are excellent. Competent, motivated, available and willing to help for any support around UB and organising customized or group trips around Mongolia. Jagaa made the difference to our Mongolian adventure, thanks a lot!! Traditional breakfast in a cozy ger available even out of normal times. We definitely recommend Danista to any travellers.

not much, everything was great! it is slightly far from the center but you can do anything easily at a walking distance.

We had an incredible stay with Danista! They organized a 18 day tour to visit Central Mongolia and Gobi Desert. Not only the landscapes were breathtaking, but we also stayed in great locations and yurts, our driver and guide were very friendly and professional. We managed to build true connections and felt welcome all throughout the tour! The hotel was also great, rooms are cozy and clean.

Good location but in a quiet street, easy walking to central square & various sites, convenient stores and restaurants nearby. the Host is very nice, helpful and dedicated. I nice 5 storey building (including basement eating area), courtyard, and the host lives in the next smaller building. The place makes me feel at home. The rooms are basic, but has everything that’s needed to stay comfortably. Hot and cold water, coffee, and tea are available, basic breakfast is served. The top criteria of cleanliness is met. They offer tours and tour recommendations. Highly recommended

I Love everything about the Hostel! The room are clean and tidy! The breakfast is amazing with really good coffee!! The staff speaks really good English and was very helpful! I left early in the morning for my flight and one of the staff make sure that I have snacks for my flight! I would definitely recommend staying here the price is really reasonable if you want a private room compared to other Hostel. They are the few if not the only hostel with their own building so the noise is very minimal!

I ended up staying there every time i came back to UB and they were absolutely the most amazing hosts! great wifi if youre a remote worker. nice showers, clean facilities and a social guesthouse. definitely would recommend.

Cold water in the shower

We stayed at Danista Nomads only one night but we enjoyed it: staff is kind and helpfull and even if we left early in the morning they prepared us a packed breakfast! Room was clean and quite big and it had private bathroom, the area is quite and we had a good sleep.

The host was very hospitable and accomodating. The place is so comfortable with stable Wifi and even free coffee. I am definitely going back here if I come back to Ulaanbaatar. The host even arranged for my transfer to the airport early in the morning and provided free breakfast before I left. You can also pay in dollars or VISA/mastercard if you have limited tughriks converted.

Very experienced and accommodating staff. They helped us find a tour fitting our limited budget and had our breakfast freshly prepared for us earlier on the days we left for the tours before it started being served. They are absolutely wonderful and very professional. Wi-Fi works great!
