Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

United KingdomThis is the 7th resort we have stayed in over the years in the Maldives but we felt the initial welcome was very ‘lacklustre’ and we weren’t even offered a welcome cold drink. No member of the senior management team ever approached us to ask how our stay was. The general staff in the restaurants and cleaning staff were friendly and generally efficient. The food in the main restaurant was only mediocre in comparison to similar resorts we have stayed at.
The location was great. We loved our pool overwater villa looking over the ocean. The two speciality restaurants were very good and we were pleased that we had only booked bed and breakfast only as it meant we could dine in these rather than the main self-service restaurant.

AustriaThe food was good, but standard. Huge buffet with international food, a lot of choices but not as exceptional as the rest of the resort. Also you have to be aware of the sea plane landing and starting several times a day which is a bit loud.
This resort is just exceptional! The crystal clear water and beautiful beaches are stunning! In the water villa you enjoy a lot of privacy and in general the island did not seem to busy during our stay. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful! We liked the fact, that a snorkeling trip as well as a sunset cruise are included. We would definitely recommend all inclusive to enjoy the nice cocktails. This holiday was beyond our expectations!

Saudi ArabiaThe variety of accessible sealife from the beaches is limited when snorkeling. There is an abundance of sealife outside the house reef but that extends hundreds of metres from the shore in most places. You do get a free snorkeling trip included (plus a sunset cruise) but all subsequent snorkeling trips are $80 per person and I don't expect to pay that to see what I want to see from a Maldivian island.
This is a seaplane only transfer island so make sure you consider hours of operation when booking your flights to/from Male. We had the misfortune of using SriLankan Airways, based on times of arrival - NEVER AGAIN! Anyway, upon arrival you are immediately hit with the magic of the colours of the sea and white sand. There are lots of excellent facilities on this island and the dive centre (Ocean Dimensions) is excellent. I am a newly qualified diver and they were super-friendly and helpful in making this a brilliant diving experience. We had a water villa and the views from the doors, whilst lying in bed, are just brilliant. Be aware that it is quite tidal so the depth of water as you descend the steps into the sea can be quite variable and it is very rocky so sea shoes are a must. The food in the all-inclusive restaurant was very good, varied and tasty. We didn't bother with the speciality restaurants for this very reason. The bar make excellent cocktails too!

AustraliaThe only thing that didn’t go well was the return sea plane transfer. Our toddler usually sleeps from 11am - 2pm which is why we asked about a later return flight at departure and the lady at the reception took note of it, saying it wouldn’t be a problem. Thank goodness I didn’t book our speedboat transfer for the next island according to the sea plane return as it turned out someone booked us the 11am flight which only got confirmed the day before and then couldn’t be changed anymore - even though we asked for confirmation several times.
Rooms: we stayed in a water pool villa and beach pool villa and absolutely LOVED both!! The rooms were tidy and very clean, room service was amazing and staff always asked us if we needed anything else. Breakfast: the food was delicious! Pancakes, oats, waffles, daily fresh fruit, eggs your way (omelette, fried, scrambled etc), croissants, breads, warm meals and more as well as fresh juice and coffees of your choice. Dinner: the daily themed dinners were amazing, we got to experience a few new cuisines and dishes which we loved! Staff are friendly and very attentive as per usual. Staff: both my husband and I agreed that we’ve never been to a place where every single staff member was friendly and happy- until we visited Brennia Kottefaru! Waitresses, cleaning staff, reception staff and drivers were absolutely amazing- they even remembered my birthday and our son’s name (we told them once) Island: the whole island is a dream! Honestly paradise on earth, we loved every corner of it, swimming, snorkeling, walking along the beach for sunrise and sunset, it was amazing! The hotel had quite a lot of guests and yet it felt like nobody was on the beaches or in the ocean when we were? Such a dream!! THANK YOU FOR THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER, I WANT TO COME BACK ALREADY 😃🩵

KuwaitThe boat that takes us to the island from the seaplane has no handles, and the steps in the boat are slippery.
1- The delightful welcoming at Malè International Airport, where the amazing resort representative lady escorted us to the seaplane counter, then to the seaplane terminal. The journey on this is quite picturesque, and it’s a unique way to see the Maldives. 2- The treatment when I first came with injury on my tailbone from the seaplane/boat transfer. They gave me ointment and spray to relieve the pain. But later on, it came to my attention that a resident doctor was available at the island 24/7. This acknowledgment of itself made me feel safe. When I came to the room I found a bucket of ice to help with the pain waiting for me with some hand towels, a fruit platter, and a welcoming phrase on the bed with flowers (Our anniversary). I didn't plan a head my trip. That I truly regret. Because when I arrived, it was on August, a time that has been affected by southeast monsoons, or how the Maldivians call it "Hulhangu", which stretches from May to November and brings with it rains, strong winds, and rough seas. Therefore, water excursions were off. I suggest introducing folklore shows as compensation, as well as providing an introduction to the country, its history with pictures, some traditional music, and dances. 3- The cleaning policy of the rooms in the resort is really something wonderful. I hope to see it happen in other hotels and resorts worldwide, as well. Twice daily cleaning is exceptional! 4- The outdoor shower above the sea with open roof, overlooking the sea on the right and left sides, with privacy at the same time, made taking a shower outdoors an extraordinary experience, especially under the sun. There is an indoor shower as well, for the rainy days, how super thoughtful! And boy, how I enjoyed the rain with the spectacular view.... the natural aquarium beneath the shower. Sometimes, I randomly come here looking for colorful fish, shark, or stingray.

GeorgiaThe vacation at the hotel was wonderful! We really liked the food - the variety of dishes was very impressive. It was always possible to find something for yourself, regardless of preferences. The service is at a high level - the staff was attentive and responsive. I would especially like to mention Mila - she was very friendly and caring. She was always interested in how we were doing and quickly answered all our questions. Her responsiveness has created a special atmosphere of coziness and comfort. Many thanks to the hotel for such a wonderful stay!

NetherlandsEvery time I had to sign a bill for a service I had to do a double check because sure enough i was being charged something extra or wrong (like full price at check in even though i had already been charged fifty percent or charging me for a bottle of wine instead of glass in one of the restaurants), this was annoying. The extra restaurants were just OK, i was expecting much better quality.
The island is pristine and extremely well taken care of. The rooms are super spacious and confortable. We stayed in a beach villa and the water was a few paces away. The food on the main restaurant was pretty decent standard all inclusive fare. The staff was overall friendly and accomodating without being overly pushy. The airport pickup to the seaplane transfer was seamless and the flight was a breeze. The spa service was great as well.

United StatesI can’t say I can specifically think of anything I didn’t like. I would’ve liked to see coffee/tea and soft drinks to be included with lunch and dinner with the full board package, not just breakfast.
The island was beautifully maintained by friendly staff. You can walk around the island on well-maintained paths in about 30-45 minutes depending on walking speed. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated and comfortable with good privacy from other rooms. The food bar had a wide variety of foods to choose from and great variability that it didn’t become boring. The free non-motorized water sport rentals were a nice perk.

ItalyI think the facilities need loot of renovation, the hotel should invest a bit more in keeping everything in good shape. Also the Full Board and All Inclusive meal plans are not very clear and don't always make sense. If you are on a full board you can only eat at the buffet restaurant and if you want to go to Manta Restaurant they apply full prices (normally they should just apply an extra or give a discount otherwise it makes no sense to be on a full board plan). Also if you are on a full board drinks are not included. My recommendation for the hotel is to simplify and make it clearer for guests in advance so they can choose what they prefer.
The staff was absolutely exceptional, very friendly and always ready to help. The island is beautiful, the food was good (strong Indian and Maldivian influence), the gym is big and has all types of equipments, internet connection very good (considering you are in the Maldives).

United Arab EmiratesThe major downfall during our stay that left a rather disappointing impression every single day was the staff. We had a handful of staff that were great, other than that we were not impressed. The staff that ran the breakfast service daily were rude and genuinely seemed like they didn’t want to be there. We walked in one morning and asked for a cuppachino only to be rudely told “sit down first and someone will come, you cannot come ask us”. The barista behind the coffee bar laughed at us and left us feeling rather uncomfortable. The Italian pasta server shocked me with his “I don’t want to be here attitude” I asked him what the options were, he gave me this look of, “I really don’t know why you asking me this, do I really need to tell you” then turned his back on me until I had to ask him again. The gentlemen making the omelette every day was fantastic but you should really have both stations open. We waited over 25 minutes in line one morning. The Russian lady behind reception should not be a front of house staff. Everytime we had to deal with her she was sitting on her phone and didn’t acknowledge us until I had to loudly say excuse me. Her look of disgust when she had to help anyone was ridiculous. Definitely not someone you need front of house The Snorkeling equipment needs some serious attention, we went on a snorkeling tour and within 5 minutes half the group was floating on their backs because the snorkels were leaking and the googles were useless. Over 20 people left in the sea not being able to snorkel because of faulty equipment Reassess the check in procedure. It was such a Long check in. So many of us had travelled for over 16 hours and then we are left to sit outside waiting whilst one person handled the check ins of over 20 people. There should be more staff assisting during check in. We are all tired and want to get to our rooms. 45 minutes to check in was a bit much
I would give this property a 10/10 if it wasn’t for some of the staff and general customer service experience. We stayed at an overwater villa with a pool for 8 days then moved to a deluxe beach villa with a pool for 4 days Both rooms were beautiful in their own ways. Both villas were well kept but could do with a deep clean of the grout and rust but that’s to be expected at an ocean resort The beaches and the overall resort were stunning! The food was amazing and the bbq evening was our favorite. Definitely a resort where the all inclusive drinks menu was extensive with many options to choose from. Anwesh at the Lapelle bar was an excellent server and made our stay that much more remarkable. He deserves some serious recognition! Even though the resort doesn’t have a house reef in close proximity we saw beautiful marine life every day. The clear water and the clean white sand far outweighed the other resorts we’ve been to in the Maldives Overall, the resort itself was stunning

Czech RepublicConsidering that I can compare it with other five-star Maldives hotels, I wouldn't rate this one with five stars. The staff can smile and say yes, but none of our basic requests were fulfilled. The location is beautiful, but next time I would choose a different resort.
We liked the restaurant very much; there were many choices for us.
