Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Only minor issues- the mattress was a bit hard, the fan didn’t seem to have a medium setting.
The location was perfect to explore the historic central and Alameda & Chapultepec park. We appreciated the affordability and feeling of safety and home.

Our first room was very noisy but the staff kindy offered to change our room as they had another available, our second room was much more comfortable
Great location, within walking distance of the main attractions (if you are willing to walk about 30-40 minutes. The area itself feels very safe and beautiful to walk around. Very spacious rooms and convenient common spaces. Staff was helpful and accommodating when we requested to change rooms during our stay.

The decorations, especially the paintings, murals, wall paintings, etc. are beautiful, fabulous! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I felt safe here. This was my first time to Mexico City. I used the hotel lock box and found I never had to worry.

We ended up in a room that was smaller than on the pictures. Half of the size and not so modern. There was no AC, just a ventilator. There is an elevator, but only until the 4th floor. The hotel has 5 floors.
The location is nice, close to public transportation. Towels were nice, fresh, and really big. The reception is open 24/7. We could leave luggage for the whole day and take it in the evening before the flight.

This hotel was very centrally located, and was very easy to get to from the airport. I hadn't intended to stay in CDMX overnight, but my travel plans went sideways, so I was stuck. This hotel was a welcome respite from all the travel drama! I booked it at the last minute and didn't expect much, but was very pleasantly surprised!

The rooms are a little old and dated for what one might expect from a four star hotel. I would usually stay at mid range to budget places and I found this to be good value for money compared to other hotels available. I had some concerns having seen some of the reviews but I was very happy with my stay.
Very well located hotel in safe and quiet area. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was a good size with bathroom and sink area. Wifi worked well. It was not noisy and I slept well. The hotel had a very nice lounge and waiting area guests could use with complementary coffee. Although the nearest metro station was currently closed, the next is only a short (10mins) walk away and the staff were very helpful in explaining me how to use the nearby metrobus stops too. All in all I was very happy with my stay of 3 nights. .

The Internet connection it should be thing that the hotel should work on. We have really poor range of wifi in the room. Very often disconnect us from the network.

No air con or radiator in the room, a thin blanket and bed sheet, which couldn’t keep us warm considering how cold it was outside at night (5 degrees). I had to ask for an extra blanket and I put my fitness trousers on as well to stay warm. No proper restaurant to have breakfast in. Breakfast was served on the terrace and at 8 degrees in the morning that left me with no appetite. Limescale on the shower head, which showed that it wasn’t properly cleaned. Pre-set breakfast with 6 different dishes, mainly meat and cheese. No fruit or vegetables.
Traditional non-chain hotel with Mexican paintings and tiles, in a really hip area of Mexico City, with a lot of coffee shops and restaurants. Clean and safe.

We found the rooms warm at night and would have appreciated and air conditioner. We had a lovely room with a terrace but the bed was small.
The location was great and the building was lovely. Overall it is very good value.

Cushions were a bit stiff.

It’s an old building so it’s reasonable that the rooms aren’t soundproof. Could be renovated and be perfect!
The location is great, walking distance to many shops, restaurants and main avenues. The size of the rooms are quite comfortable. They offer complementary water and coffee in their lobby.
