Beautiful area. A perfect ending to our trip around Namibia. Didn’t think we could still be this surprised by the landscape after our 3 weeks trip, but it happened here! Highly recommend

The wifi wasn’t working in our room - or like very low connection. But since we had 10 gb of internet we didn’t really care :-)

We really loved our stay here. The view is absolutely stunning and the people are really nice. The chef needs a raise so to speak, because dinner was PHENOMENAL! We loved it and she even let me take a picture of her recipe 🥹 We also paid for laundry (we were a bit surprised by the price, but I think it’s due to manual washing it and because of water being a resource). Laundry was done really really well, smelled good and just loved how they took care of our clothes. Thank you all for making our last days in Namibia unforgettable.

The service was very friendly. However, it seemed a bit old-fashioned as the service staff were dressed like housewives and always seemed to be urgently waiting to help with any small matter. (E.g putting our bread in the toaster). Dinner was outstanding, breakfast pretty average

Beautiful Lodge in the middle of the nature. Pool is perfectly refreshing. They also own a leopard, a lion and a cheetah.

    Nothing to complain!

Just wow! Family farm with a wonderful lodge. Great staff, amazing view and super interesting tour with the owner to get to know everything about farming and the cats (gepard, cheetah, lepard) - basically rescues. Hiking possibility through the bush - you basically see all the animals 🥰. And not to forget all the details, you see how much love they put into everything. Thank you!!!

Everything! Wonderful location with stunning 360 views across the plains, the sunset view is spectacular. The room was large and comfortable with a fan and aircon. All staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was delicious as was breakfast. A real sense of calm and peacefulness throughout the property. Giraffe and bok’s on the drive in.

What a special place with fantastic views and very friendly and helpful staff. I was looking for somewhere different for a birthday suprise and this was just perfect. The room was large, spacious with a terrific view and had the added bonus of a small kitchen area. We took the evening wild cat feeding and wildlife drive which was most educational, introducing us to a number of animals we had not seen before. This was followed by a most enjoyable meal and the opportunity to sit outside on the large open verandah listening to the night sounds. Would loved to have stayed a second night, hopefully we will be back.

We loved our stay at Aloegrove. It was a perfect stop after Etosha before heading back to Windhoek to fly home. The facilities were great and the evening drive with Johan was fantastic. To see the animals was one of the highlights of our whole trip and the kids are still talking about their stay in Aloegrove. Not many places you open the door in the morning and find a giraffe outside - amazing! We hadn’t booked the food option, but luckily I saw that we have to pre-book and could add it on a few days prior to our stay. The food was really delicious, so I would definitely make sure to book room and half board!

I only stayed for a night to break up the journey back to Windhoek but they still made me feel very welcome, and even made me a breakfast to take with me since I had to be on the road early the next morning. The evening game drive was great. we saw a lion and leopard as well as various other animals and came back to a very nice dinner.

We stayed too short as it was simply great.

Jewel in our trip. Privacy granted though with excellent support by the hosts when required. The tour to see their cats is an absolute must. Why? It is a tour organized from their heart with personal story line. An amazing memory. Possibly more luck than wisdom, when we arrived we were welcome by many giraffes who were as curious to see us as we were to see them en route to the lodge. It made our day(s)!

Incredible 360 views, a private road/ short cut to the Cheetah Conservation Fund. Helpful staff and some fun driving tracks.

    Nothing.

After our 3 week trip through Namibia we stayed on our last night at Aloegrove. The lodge is on top of a hill with beautiful views. If you arrive in time you'll be able to do the afternoon tour around the farm by the friendly owners of Aloegrove. They know so much about the area and wildlife. We were able to see dikdik, a cheetah, lion and leopard very close. What an experience. Great last stop before departing Namibia or as a start or your trip.

The kitchen in the family rooms was not adequately equipped to prepare a simple meal for 4 people. Pre-ordering dinner meals weeks ahead of arrival was not convenient. Meals prices seemed high compared to other similar resorts.

Aloegrove Safari Lodge is an off-the-beaten track lodge with outstanding views and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and polite and the property was well maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The game drive with the owners to learn about and feed their rescued animals was very informative and enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay here - the location on a hill is just stunning, you can see for miles and miles in all directions. We stayed in the standard rooms and found them very nice - very comfortable, clean, spacious rooms with a large balcony and a fantastic view. Dinner was delicious, service excellent. We really enjoyed the game drive with Johan and Ivy, visiting and learning about the three big cats that they are caring for - it is clear they are both passionate about the conservation work. We stayed two nights here, and also visited the nearby CCF (easy to reach using the private backroads) which we enjoyed. Aloegrove is well worth a two night stopover!

    Nothing - Aloegrove was amazing

Aloegrove Safari Lodge is outstanding in every aspect. It is rare that you stay somewhere that you cannot fault anything. Aloegrove is one of those places where everything is perfect - the setting, the view, the service, the food, the comfort of the rooms, the warm welcome and the amazing afternoon game drive all make Aloegrove a truely wonderful place to stay.
