Rooms were a small especially for the bed size It was hard to find space for suitcases. A microwave would have been appreciated.

Location is great. Access was ok. Outside staircase is tough when wet. Outside space was good but could use more seating.

unfortunately the internet for our unit was not functioning and 1 bedroom TV was completely inoperable. Soaps and toilet supplies were not refreshed and it took 3 requests to get that done. 5 days into our 1 week stay we were moved to another room where the electronics functioned. Housing manager Hans was great but unfortunately he was away visiting family and I believe our concerns would have been addressed sooner had he present. We were treated to a great dinner and drinks to make up for short comings which amounted to a 5% discount. I should have engaged the general manager Don sooner

staff was incredible, every return to the property we were greeted like heros. location is fantastic and food in the restaurant was very good. they helped us print travel documents, jumped our heavy bags up four flights of narrow stairs and arranged transport for our Granddaughter to meet her ship.

Exceptional location. Hans was amazing and very attentive to anything needed. Apartment perfect set up, very clean. Don't look past this location. It's amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Well equipped for all group types.

The location is excellent. Mr. Hans and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Lou Lou's restaurant, which is part of Damrak Short Stay and in the same building of the apartment, was an amazing place with an equally amazing team. Hans and the restaurant staff (Mainly Mr Micky) made our stay exceptionally special and joyful. Their helpfulness and friendliness truly stood out. VERY MUCH RECOMENDED. One more thing worth to add is that the team did not hesitate helping us with carrying the luggage to and from the apartment

Need more storage and benches to keep luggage. Also a lift 😁😁😁 ...(Which I know is not possible but climbing three floors two or three times a day was a task).

The location was perfect and the staff was super super helpful. The only issue is the price otherwise it's a great place to stay.

Not the most spacious rooms and the beds were not the best, but more than adequate.

Perfect location with a restaurant/bar on the ground floor. Hard to improve on from that perspective. Four bathrooms and room for five/six adults.

The furnitures were a little loved in one apt (which was not an issue for us) and, for some, the showers in certain apartments may be a little small.

I traveled with my elderly mother (75+), my husband, my sister and her husband and two toddlers. We rented two apartments, on two seperate floors. The stairs were initially daunting for my mother (and strollers) but the staff was exceptional (Thank you Hans!!), incredibly accomodating and were very keen on helping us with luggage and if something was needed in the apartments. Inside and outside stairs to reach the ground. Beds were comfortable, rooms w/space for luggage, washer/dryer and dishwasher were very handy. We are Dutch thus did not request additional help w/ transport or recommendations but the apartments are in a prime location (no street noise w/ windows closed), walkable to Central Station and there's a taxi cab/ride share stop off right across the street. The kitchens were fairly stocked and the toddlers had ample room to play. There were other families and singles staying there. We also ate at the restaurant one night and had a great meal. I would definitely recommend this site for anyone that is looking for easy in to the city and sights.

It would have helped to have a better stocked kitchen for cooking at the apartment. I thought the apartment was on a canal, it is not.

We entered the apartment building through the restaurant. The staff were friendly and expecting us. The manager of the restaurant insisted on taking our luggage up stairs to the apartment for us. This is not a quiet stuffy place. The restaurant has a youthful vibe that my daughters and really enjoyed. The apartment was quiet and very clean.

We couldn’t and 3 of the staff couldn’t figure out the washer/dryer combo unit and we wasted 3 late afternoon into late evening trying to figure it out….. since we packed only a few clothing items we had to figure it out…My son finally found a you tube video on how to run it. It would take a good 3 hours to just get a few clothes dry. There are no towel bars or rods to hang wet things up. The living room area rug was dirty, they need to remove it. We had to go buy dish soap, laundry soap and bars of soap

Location and other than the area rug it was very clean - not a speck of mold on shower tiles.

The place was welcoming, clean and quiet, in the middle of the noisy and crowded Amsterdam center. Our host Dan Shemesh was very helpful and welcoming and the place had practically everything we needed.

Well set up 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. 5 minutes from central station where you can catch train, bus, tram, ferry or metro. right in the centre of Amsterdam. Manager of apartments Dan happy to do anything to assist you, staff in restaurant downstairs also extremely obliging, happy to assist with bags upstairs ect.

We are not spring chickens so the traipse up three floors was tiring.

The location was fantastic, right in the center of town less than a five minute walk from the Central Station. The owner/host Dan was very friendly and very responsive. He even hosted us for dinner at the Bravi Ragazzi restaurant below the apartment. It was a clean two bedroom apartment each with it's own bathroom. Be prepared for European amenities - meaning there aren't any. No chest of drawers, no shelves, no wardrobes. There are rods where you can hang some clothes on hangers and an etagere where you can stash some clothes. This is typical for many apartments in Europe. One of the bathrooms has a tiny shower stall and a glass panel that does an abysmal job of containing the shower so you are guaranteed to flood the bathroom every time. This, also, is common in Europe. Everyone, but everyone, we met was super friendly and helpful. The assistant manager in the restaurant and alls the waiters. At the end of ten days we knew them all and hugged them when we left.

location which was our fault. very busy. we wanted a place close to Centraal Station because of side trips, but had no idea, again our fault, that the area was jammed with people. on the other hand, the unit itself was dead quiet. too many stairs. I had exchanged email with the old manager who said there were fourteen steps. there were 32 on 3 landings. it was good practice for the Ann Frank House but way too many got two people in their mid-70’s and one in her 80’s.

we were three people who stayed for ten days. this place was economical given Amsterdam prices. the place was large and comfortable. the staff was kind, responsive and friendly

There was no mirror in the half bath. So that bath was useless for getting makeup and hair done. This extra half bath was one reason I chose this property-since our party had 3 women and 1 man. The apartment had not been cleaned thoroughly. We immediately had to wipe something off of the floor. It had not been dusted well in quite some time. But the bathrooms were clean (except for the floor of the half bath.)

First of all, I would like to write some words about the owner of the apartment, who was so kind and eager to help when you don't even expect it; I am very grateful to Herman for that! He gave us a lot of recommendations regarding the pharmacies and food stores choice; he always answered my What'sApp messages straight away I wrote them. The Damrak apartment is very clean and has all the amenities and accessories not only to prepare breakfasts, but also lunches and dinners if needed. As we traveled with teenagers, who were always hungry, it was very very convenient. The living room is very cosy and beautiful with nice window view. It was so pleasant, that it was decorated with fresh flowers. In our apartment all bedrooms were with bathrooms plus one more next to the living room. And the location! It is the most centrally located, in the heart of the old city. It would be nice to be back to Amsterdam and to the Damrak apartment!
