Easy parking as they have their own parking place. The restaurant is typical van der Valk and the food quality is good. All facilities for having drinks or food are there. The hotel is on the outskirt of Drachten but I didn't mind walking to town after a long drive from Germany.

AS said above the wrong information

The visit was very good except for on the morning when leaving, I was told I needed to pay for breakfast on two days when the day before i had been told by reception it was in the package. The food, room, and facilities where excellent, All reception staff and restaurant staff were kind and polite, it was just the one young lad on receptions that gave me the wrong information that upset us.

the bathroom arrangement is not ideal at all: the way the toilet sit is arranged facing the shower wall is so tight that an adult man has to get settled on it side ways: otherwise he can hit his head:)

it is very uniquely designed hotel. With well renovated anterior and very comfortable beds. despite its proximity to the regional road it is a silent place, when one can comfortably sleep with an open window.

I like to have the heat of my room high. Unfortunately I couldn't increase the temperature to what I'm used to. But the room was very comfortable.

The design of the hotel and interior is stylish. Staff very helpful ( Diana was welcoming and helpful) Food delicious 😋

My fridge in my room didn't work and it was not fixed or replaced regardless of how many times I raised the issue with reception. Also there was no hot water one of the mornings and I feel we should have been told about it and given some information about how and when it would be fixed but nothing was said unless we enquired about it and I feel some sort of refund should have been offered due to the inconvenience but again nothing was mentioned.

Paper cups for tea and coffee, coffee maker was out of order, only one tea flavour, beds moved apart during the night, leaving a big gap in the middle

Ate in the Hotel restaurant on our last night the food was good but the service although friendly was incredibly slow after waiting 15 minutes for someone to take our dessert order I had to go and find someone!

Hotel room was very spacious, beds comfortable, the bathroom large and the shower was amazing. Wide selection of cereals, meats, cheeses and pastries for breakfast. Hotel was ideally situated for our needs, we were attending the European Dodgeball Championships at the sports centre but is a fairly long walk to restaurants there is an Aldi about 10 - 15 minutes walk for supplies.

Was not easy to find the entrance. The hall of the room was in remodeling process, there is no clothes iron in the room. The hair dryer is old and does not work well.à

The room was cold when we arrived, so we turned up the radiator. Due to this there was a more stuffy smell after while. I don't know how to fix this, but it's good to know, I guess. Also, we couldn't open the transparent curtains to look out of the window or to enjoy the fresh air. That was a bit of a shame.

Last-minute booking went smoothly. Bathroom seems to be recently renovated - good water pressure. Staff very nice and professional. Restaurant was decent too.
