Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdomrestaurant for breakfast was not so good, despite advising of nut allergies, they didn't seem to take it seriously, big warning to anyone with the same. Lack of clear labelling, no separation, and shared spoons etc... Also asking for tea with milk seemed to stump them, with different result on each of the 3 days... . one day with a tea pot full of cold milk !
Rooms was clean, well equipped, quiet air con... staff were friendly. close to tram routes, but away from main city and tourist locations, so tram travel needed each day.. not big deal, only short walk

BulgariaThe overall vibe is not what you'd expect from a 5* hotel. This was my first Hyatt booking and I won't be booking with them again. The hotel is understaffed with very stressful looking employees trying to do their best. The check in experience was tedious, there is no digital pre-check in, it takes ages to type in all the details, no conceirge to answer questions so you'll have to wait for check in staff to deal with those as well. There was no staff to welcome us, not a smile, all around a very sad impersonal experience. At breakfast when I asked to be given a table that was not in the neck of other guests I was told they were busy and this would be difficult yet when they walked us to the back of the restaurant it was completely empty. Housekeeping is so-so - vanity sets are not changed, our shampoo bottle was broken for our entire 3 day stay, they never bothered to change it - I left it unscrewed the whole time just waiting to see. There is no minibar, all you get is 200 ml water bottles a day, very sad and tired looking all in all. There are two coffee cups but only one saucer - they never thought to provide another one even when the used one was changed. The hotel staff uniform seems very outdated as well.
The location was ideal for us, I want to mention this as I have seen a lot of negative reviews. We did not want to be in the overcrowded central part of Amsterdam. The Hyatt is a 15 min Uber ride from the very centre, in the much quieter, cleaner university district with lots of great cafes, restaurants, parks, museums and a very authentic local vibe. The hotel is clean, our room was very comfortable.

SpainThe cleaning of e.g. walls, shelves is not perfect
For me it was important because of the parking, one of the few places with a high underground garage. But it brought Hyatt quality. The city view was very entertaining, nice and comfortable room. I needed a bath. The Indonesian restaurant gave us a great night out as an added bonus, we especially liked the flavours in the breakfast which was of a very high quality - outstanding after 10 similar hotels in the last two weeks. Thank you

RomaniaDisappointing Compared to Hyatt Madrid – but Great Indonesian Restaurant I stayed at the Hyatt Madrid a week ago and, based on that wonderful experience, I chose to stay at the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the two simply don’t compare. 1. Location: In Madrid, the hotel was truly central. In Amsterdam, it only feels like it should be. In reality, it’s about 2 km from any key point in the city, situated in an area where not much is happening. 2. Rooms: Madrid offered bright, welcoming rooms, with thoughtful touches like a well-stocked minibar and an art book library that gave the space personality and charm. In contrast, my room in Amsterdam felt gloomy and cramped, with a tiny window — almost like a dark attic. The minibar? Just two bottles of water. That said, there was one highlight: the Indonesian restaurant at the Regency. The food was excellent and definitely worth trying. Overall, this stay was a letdown compared to what I experienced in Madrid. I expected the same level of comfort and atmosphere — but sadly, it wasn’t even close.

The hotel impressed us with its efficient service, clean and functional facilities, and practical touches. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering local tips to enhance our stay. The rooms were cozy, with some featuring views of nearby canals. Its location allowed easy access to museums, tram stops, and walkable neighborhoods, making exploration effortless. The breakfast included fresh options, like local cheeses.
